The television I wanted to use this cable for is a 2012 Samsung 40 inch 3D and I nearly didn’t bother after reading some reviews. The TV had the required USB socket 5V1A and it works perfectly.

Deserves no stars. Is a complete rip off. Does not work just comes up with message on screen saying insufficient power connect to mains. Don’t buy it people is yet another rip off.

Firestick life prolonging
What a simple but very effective piece of kit this is. Iâve had two now for a few weeks and can honestly say they work perfectly. One is connected to an LG tv and the other to a Sony. When the tv is switched to standby, the firestick connection via the link, is off. No power going to it which means no wasted electricity and surely prolonging the life of your firestick. However, just be informed that when you turn on the tv, the firestick has to boot up which takes about 1 minute. Very pleased with this purchase and of course you have less cabling at the rear of you tv. Cheap and cheerful. Get one!
