Great pic and sound camera
What a great little camera.Picture quality and sound is really good although the live pic feed is really noisy. However, I just mute my phone if I’m checking my front door live or mute Alexa if I use my show to check whos there.The Night vision is super too.I have recommended this to my family and friends and my brother and myself are now using these on our front doors rather than the ring door bells as there is no subscription as you can use a memory stick if you want to save everything.We also do not have to answer the door if we do not want too now. It’s brilliant.There is about a 3 second delay with it telling my phone someone is coming up my path but I’m ok with that as I live in a flat and disabled so anyone who knows me knows it will take ages to get to the door anyway.Those that don’t know me I won’t and don’t answer the door to anyway because they won’t know if I’m in or not, so I won’t feel guilty now if I do not grret them.I will say though I did purchase the holder that has the cover for outside and it has a longer arm than the one it came with.Now I can point the camera down further so it is in a better position and the new one does not pop off the bracket as it bolts in to the back so less likely for someone to take or knock off the wall as with the one that came with it just clicked in place.The one that comes with it I’d say is more for inside. It is not secured to the camera it’s a pop on one.The battery I don’t think will last 2 years as mine is used frequently and the app continually reminds me the battery won’t last because of the frequent use.But the replacement batteries are lithium AA batteries so are reasonably priced on Amazon so not a major issue but I will be getting the solar powered cover for use on the one in the back garden and sideway so I hope this will solve the problem with the battery longevity.But we are really really happy with the cameras and also the app.They are easy to set up and easy to use and great value for money especially as mine came with the show 5 also.A right bargain.

Essential housing for blink camera
These are SO essential for housing your blink camera. Screw the mount to a surface(screws provided), then attach the mount,containing the camera, and angle the camera to the desired area.Very easy to set up.

Blink cameras – monitor your house without a subscription (as long as you have Wifi).
We love our Blink cameras. We have two outside – one at the back and one at the front, and it let’s us know what’s happening. Occasional false alarms when a bird flies past but we’ve also seen foxes playing out at the back at night which surprised us.It’s a solid item and only real issue is that if it rains or is misty, it may not show images. We put it in a casing and that did the trick.

So I went a little mad with these I paid for 1 camera and then loved it then I got 4 more, I have my whole house under camera as this day and age even in a place nothing has ever happened is still warranted people are crafty sneeky and bad and there will be a point where these cameras come in need !Quality well its a amazon product so it’s quality, the only thing I would suggest is getting the mounts with a little rain hood on them as it will make then see better in bad weather and the metal ball joint is much better on them than the originals.Quality of video is perfect I got the hub and a USB stick “mini” so that all videos are saved without subscription and the usb I got is like slim line so it goes in neat without popping out the side.The app works easy very stright forward if you don’t continue paying for the subscription you need this hub to save videos or it will not work. And again you can buy hub holders so the plug wire and hub all sit in a compact case to make it all neat.Would I recommend these 100% my home is secure safe and when I work at night I can be sure that my family are surrounded by them if anyone is around you get a notification and I can just check up on who it is.Battery last a very very long time never charged them. Amazing ðYou can speak through them too as they are 2 way.Nothing else to say really apart from they are good!

Sadly not of any use in an area that has rain
had high hopes these would give more protection than the blink itself, but although well made and the mount looked great, when i put the camera in, it wasnt even that close to form any kind of seal, in fact I poured water on it and the water went straight into the housing, which means when it rains the housing will fill up and leave the camera sitting in water, a simple rubber gasket would have been so easy, but alas with the wet weather we have here they are useless
