Solid Cable, But Overpriced for What It Is
I bought the Amazon Basics USB-A 3.0 Extension Cable for my racing sims about two years ago, and itâs been working perfectly with no issues since. The build quality is really impressiveâitâs thick and solid, and even stepping on it doesnât cause any damage. It’s definitely built to last. That said, there is a small delay, as is typical with all USB extension cables, especially since this one is 3 meters long. Itâs not a major issue and doesnât affect usage much, but itâs something to note. The main downside for me is the price. At £8.87 (originally £8.99), it feels a bit overpriced compared to other similar options available on Amazon and even in local stores. Youâre essentially paying for the Amazon brand, the quality, and the customer service, which, while good, doesnât justify the higher price for just a basic USB 3.0 cable. Iâd be much happier if it were priced around £5-£6, and Iâd love to see an option for USB 4.While itâs a solid cable, I think there are cheaper alternatives out there that do the job just as well.

I bought 3 of these almost 2 years ago to extend the cable length on my Logitech 920e webcams that I use for live streaming on various platforms. Not much to say, they are cables, the quality is as good or better than anything on Amazon or what you can find at your local PC/Electronics shop. I plugged them in, plugged in my cams, and Wallah!!! They all worked fine from day one up to yesterday when I last streamed. Cables do go bad and sometimes cables come DOA in the package, it’s just what it is. The cost on these is minimal, so if I need another cable, or one of them bites the dust down the road, I’ll just replace it without a second thought.
