i bought this as i got an old desktop pc with a VGA only connection – I have no VGA monitors. This worked well and had a great picture i imagine it can be used either way with either a monitor needing a VGA port or a desktop needing a VGA port – Does exactly what its designed to do and had no issues with it so overall great value for money.

A great adapter cable to get from the HDMI output of my laptop to the VGA input of a spare monitor, with no apparent loss of quality. It’s one of those things that just works, no faffing around having to change settings, a simple plug and play. I also really appreciate being able to buy a cable of this length, so that if needed I could put the monitor at the far end of my desk from my laptop. Overall, another great purchase from the Amazon Basics range.
