    Reduced thunderbolt ssd speed
Good for monitors etc where latency isn’t an issue. degraded performance with thunderbolt ssd vs when connected directly to Mac

It works but overheats a lot
Initial review, please read the updated review at the bottomI’ve only used this for a few hours so it’s not long enough to gibe a long-term review, but this is my setup:1) Two gaming monitors with both HDMI and DisplayPort2) Gaming PC where the GPU has multiple DisplayPort ports3) MacBook Pro M1 ProMy gaming PC uses DisplayPort to connect to the monitors leaving the HDMI ports free.My MacBook Pro connects to this dock (and it does charge it) and I purchased separate Thunderbolt 4 to HDMI cables. It works as intended. As the M1 Pro (and other M Pro/Max chips) allow for two external displays this works great. If you have an M1, M2, M3 MacBook then these only allow for one external display only.Updated review:While it works okay with one or two external monitors, with anything else plugged into it it overheats and turns off. On my work windows laptop this has the side effect of Windows not recognising the dock and forgetting the screen layout, seemingly randomly too. This happens on my other laptops too.So honestly I’d just spend a bit more money and get something that works a lot better.

    random disconnects
when I plug anything into this hub, its starts randomly and reconnecting. It goes of and restarts, and although it only takes a second or 2 with a monitor connected via USB alt mode the laptop goes through resetting the monitors and the power is cut momentarily from laptop so that laptop give my battery protection warning that its just set to charge to 60%, all this caused lots of beeps and popups in windows notifications making it about a minute before I can continue, then it all starts again. I hope I just have a faulty one as I am returning it for a new one!update, tried a second one, as soon as laptop battery has reached its charge and stopes charging to protect battery, it seems like the power supply in the hub thinks it can shut off, this causes the monitor and associated USB devices to switch of, so the power supply switches on again to supply power to accessories, and the hole thing starts again, on off, on off, making it unusable.

    worthy purchase
The shipment arrived 1 week earlier. It is very helpful.I removed my previous dock which occupied a lot of space of my desk. After I changed this new slim and compact dock, it gave me more room on my desk. I liked it very much. Definitely this was a good purchase as my expectation.
