Cool Dock with LED Light Transform your workspace with interactive blue LED lighting and a powerful cooling system, designed to maintain optimal performance. Clean Desk Solution Achieve a clean and organized desk with the all-in-one docking station, equipped with built-in power capabilities. Connect All Devices Ideal for the modern professional, this dock streamlines connectivity for a variety of devices with one compact solution. Compatibility System Types: Windows 10 / 11, macOS 15 or Later. Host Devices: Thunderbolt 5 / 4 Laptops. Note: This dock is not compatible with Thunderbolt 3 laptops or monitors—including those with Windows or Intel-based MacBooks—and does not support ChromeOS or Linux systems. Notes 1. The HDMI 2.1 port and DisplayPort 2.1 port cannot be used simultaneously,The minimum macOS specification required to use this TS5 dock is macOS 15 and later. Notes 2. The front USB-C ports support charging and data transfer but do not support video display functions. Notes 3. For Windows laptops with USB-C ports supporting DP Alt Mode, only one external monitor is supported. For Apple Silicon Macs, Standard M1-M3 Macs only support a single display through the Thunderbolt connection. Pro, Max, M4 base, and Ultra Mac users can connect dual displays to the TS5. Three displays are not supported on M4 Thunderbolt 5 Macs via a single Thunderbolt 5 connection. Notes 4. This dock supports triple display via two Thunderbolt downstream ports and one HDMI or DP port. However, whether triple display can be achieved depends on your laptop’s specifications. Very few laptops are capable of supporting triple display with this dock. Based on our testing, only the Razer Blade 18 Gaming Laptop with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 successfully supports triple display. We will continue to update the list as more compatible devices become available. Notes 5. Use only the included Thunderbolt 5 cable or certified Thunderbolt 5 cables. Using uncertified or incompatible cables may cause incompatibility issues. Notes 6. To ensure you achieve the described 2.5Gbps internet speed with this dock, use a Cat5e or Cat6 / Cat6a Ethernet cable no longer than 328 ft (100 m). Notes 7. MacBooks with Apple Silicon chips do not support external GPUs through any docking station. This is a system-level limitation that prevents macOS from recognizing or using an external GPU, even if it is physically connected via a dock. Notes 8.This dock does not support dual 5K Thunderbolt 3 monitors or a combination of a 5K Thunderbolt 3 monitor and a Thunderbolt 4 monitor in screen mirroring mode. For example, LG UltraFine 5K and Apple Studio Display are not supported in such configurations. Notes 9.If your laptop uses an 11th Gen Intel processor, please ensure that “Thunderbolt Technology Support” is enabled in the BIOS to maintain optimal performance. Also, confirm that the Thunderbolt controller NVM firmware version is 48.1 or higher. Specifications Dimensions: 4.6 × 4.6 × 3.0 in / 116 × 116 × 75 mm; Weight: 38 oz / 1,086 g

Lots of useful ports and a great way to tidy the desk
Anker have always made good products in my experience, and this is no exception. The whole device has a very premium feel to it; relatively small but very weighty, presumably due to the internal power supply. It’s actually comparable in size to a small mini PC I have which seems odd, but when you see the number of ports it makes available then it needs space to fit them all in. The weight also helps to make sure it doesn’t slide around on the desk! It’s a very neat and good looking design with ports where you would expect them. USB and 3.5mm headphones on the front where they are needed the most. Left side has both SD and Micro-SD card slots – hidden from view but easily accessible. The rear has a large selection of useful ports – two USB-A, three USB-C (one of which connects to the laptop), a 2.5Gbps Ethernet and then HDMI and Displayport, of which only one can be used at once. Finally an IEC C8 (figure-eight) connector for power. It’s much better to put the laptop down and plug in just the one USB-C cable, rather than needing to connect all of USB, display, power etc separately, and means your desk can be kept much neater. Having the extra USB sockets also means not needing to have a USB hub on the desk as well.At the moment this is probably aimed more at the office environment, the cost being more than some home laptops which likely also don’t support TB5. But it’s an impressive bit of kit whatever the usage.

    Excellent
The Anker Prime TB5 Docking Station is an absolute powerhouse for anyone looking to maximize their laptop’s connectivity and performance. With a whopping 14 ports, it truly transforms your setup, offering ample room for all your peripherals. The Thunderbolt 5 capabilities are a game-changer, delivering blazing-fast 120Gbps max transfer speeds that make quick work of large file transfers and ensure a smooth, lag-free experience even with multiple high-bandwidth devices connected. The 140W max charging is a huge plus, capable of juicing up demanding laptops quickly, often eliminating the need for a separate power brick. Display options are excellent, supporting up to 8K, which is fantastic for professionals or enthusiasts with high-resolution monitors. The ambient LED lighting adds a nice touch of personalization to your desk, and the integrated cooling system is a thoughtful addition, ensuring the dock stays cool even under heavy loads. While it’s a significant investment, the Anker Prime TB5 Docking Station delivers on its promises, offering a premium, future-proof solution for serious users who demand top-tier performance and connectivity. It’s a robust, well-designed piece of kit that streamlines your workspace and boosts productivity.

    Great
I have been using this dock for two weeks prior to writing my review. Briefly my setup included my work windows laptop, and my own M4 MacBook Air, connected to a 4k monitor. Up to now I have been using a cheaper dock to easily swich between the both on my desk. This has worked flawlessly since day one, without any problems at all.Connecting all the rear input/outputs was easy. Everything is clearly marked, with DisplayPort output for my monitor (or HDMI, can only use one at a time). The link to my laptops is clearly highlighted, freeing up all the other ports. The two USB-A ports on the rear are prefect for the dongles for my keyboard and mouse. The one major disappointment is that the ethernet port is only 2.5gbs. On a thunderbolt 5 dock, at this price point is should be 10gbs.The SD card reader on the side has been a bit of an inconvenience, as I have not been able to place this under my monitor stand as indeed. While the dock is nice and compact, it is a decent weight, with no external power brick, this is much appreciated. When you push the power button, it requires a bit of force to depress, so two hands are needed, one to push the button, the other to hold it dock, which is a bit inconvenient when under my monitor stand.Overall happy with it, but a few slight improvements needed for it to be perfect.
