Surprisingly good
This is essentially a microphone and Bluetooth karaoke speaker,complete with flashing lights, combined, which we bought for our 5-year-old. Despite the good reviews we were worried this would prove to be a bit of a gimmick but actually itâs been easy to set up and loads of fun whether hooking it up to Spotify to sing along to a favourite song or using it to announce the arrival of an engine when playing with our train set. Our daughter loves how with Bluetooth it transforms from microphone to speaker that she can walk around with. Just note that the Bluetooth range isnât brilliant so if she goes into another room away from the source of music (mobile phone, smart TV, tablet etc) it loses signal, not that thatâs proven a huge issue so far. There are a few effects to play around with when singing, but weâve found the basic karaoke setting is the best. The only feature that doesnât seem to work is the volume – we can turn music thatâs playing through the mic up or down on our mobile phone, but not on the mic itself. Thatâs mostly ok, but not ideal when weâd like to turn down the mic – mostly when our girl has one of the voice-changing effects on. I might report this to Amazon, but weâll see that all other features are working first as we havenât yet tested the record function and Iâm not sure we received the little card (is it a memory card?) that comes with it. In summary, if youâre toying with buying a mic with separate speaker / music player or a karaoke machine with mic, weâve been very happy with this one as itâs compact, affordable and has decent sound quality.

I bought this as a gift for a colleague & it didn’t disappoint. Easy to use after a quick charge. It connects to phone via Bluetooth so you can use as a speaker to listen to music & also use as a microphone. Good sound quality & level. Would thoroughly recommend.

God it’s sooooo loud! Horrid
This is a parent’s nightmare. It has no volume control and the kids talk into it and it screams it back out like a da*ned bullhorn. They love it – it drives me nuts. God I wish I hadn’t bought it. Well past return date so I think it may have a terrible ‘accident’.Why do toy manufacturers have to make kids stuff so bl***y loud?!
