Moreover, the device receives positive feedback for its functionality, with customers noting it works instantly with combined systems, and they appreciate that there are no subscription costs. Brilliant camera without any subscription charges
Brilliant camera and no ongoing storage charges unlike the Ring cameras.Super clear image in daylight and at night time which is a big upgrade from our cctv camera which is terrible at night time.Has settings that enable you to designate which areas you want to monitor on your property and which to exclude which is handy as we are a corner property and get lots of passing traffic at the end of the driveway that we don’t want to be notified about, and it pings an alert to your phone when anything occurs in that area marking it under a category such as motion, lingering etc.The default card only records when something happens and loops over existing recordings, so there is no endless scrolling to find what you are after, and there is plenty of room on the default sd card in the camera, we’ve had it installed a week and still able to see video that was taken whilst we were installing it. The camera does have the option of upgrading the card to something larger should you need it however. The set up is really easy to do via the easy to use app and installing it was just a case of taking the old doorbell off the wall and screwing the existing two wires that connected that into the back of the new camera, nice touch is that it comes with a template making it straight forward to know where to drill the holes as well as extension wires so that it wasn’t so fiddly to install.Really happy with the camera and can’t recommend it enough.

Aosu Ultra which was a little more costly but with updated Camera and Software, Rounded edges.
We initially ordered the Aosu Pro Doorbell but had issues connecting with our WiFi and replaced it with the Aosu Ultra which was a little more costly but with updated Camera and Software, Rounded edges.Connection was a breeze and took perhaps 5 minutes, connecting to our WiFi on the second attempt, we fitted the Base Unit comprising Bell Chime to a Power socket in the Kitchen, and continued the Connection from there.Installed the AosuLife App to our Mobile Phone, Add Device, select Device by QR Code or Manually from Images, we selected the Image of the Aosu Ultra, and followed the Instructions, straight forward and simple. We then fitted the Door Bell to the Door Frame, returned to the Aosu App which now recognised our Aosu Ultra and began to learn what is a logical sequence with superb High Res images and Video from the Door Bell. The Device comes with a 70% Charge, we will leave it to run down before recharging but at the rate it is using Power it seems efficient, we think it may well make 100 Days + or even 180 Days Aosu say.Now whether we are in the House, in the Garden, Shopping, we get a proximity Alert if someone approaches the Door, and a Bell or other sound which we can choose if they Press the Bell, at the Door, the Kitchen, our Mobile or any other Mobile we appoint.Excellent, Great Buy, and after some problems with the Pro found the updated Ultra excellent in all ways.We shall expand the Aosu Family next with the Spotlight, see Pics.

Flawed product, had to return it
I really wanted to like this product. It seemed well designed, nice video quality, the radar detection is a great feature etc. Also there’s no subscription required, and a plug-in chime is included for those in the house without the app. However, it has some issues…Firstly the plug-in chime is comparitively quiet. Not a massive problem, but I was surprised the max volume was not louder.Secondly, as others have commented, using the talk functionality there is terrible feedback. So that part is almost unuseable.I could maybe live with that too, but the third and major issue for me is that it fails to notifiy on my Google Pixel android phone. I spent absolutely ages with numerous settings, testing, resetting, etc. but I could never get the phone to notify me when the door bell was pressed! The app runs run, and I can live view video and see recordings, but no notification on radar detection or bell push. Notification did work on an iPhone though, but that doesn’t help me with my android device! Note, other apps and cameras I have all notify OK, just not the Aosu door bell. I did raise this with Aosu support, but they eventually confirmed it may not work with some android devices due to how notifications function.Disappointeed with the product and the time I spent trying to get it working. A camera door bell that doesn’t notify me on my phone isn’t much use so I had to return it.

Excellent home Doorbell, delighted with it and no Subscription needed.
Since Fitting, which was a easy thing to do (just screwed in the mounting plate in place of old doorbell, then clipped in after downloading the Phone App). this has been a delight to use. Them set up was intuitive, my home Wi Fi Connection is strong god signal and powerful I think that certainly helps but I find the Video streams OK even if I’m away at work i can see what’s going on and if my electric garage door is secure or the logs of any visitors.Connects to Alexa easily, so Alexa gives you indication someone is at the door, haven’t yet tried with Google, but I’ll bet that works as well,I find I have absolutely 0 problems the Battery life with what I have on, i.e.. alarm for theft. proximity recording / alerting its realistically a month before needs charging, but again., don’t worry, this device will let you know when this is needed,Delighted with it and it works on PC (Windows) devices too (the Android App) with Bluestax x emulation. I would have given more stars if more were avaliable, just make sure solid 2.4ghz WI Fi Connection is avaliable. And no, I don’t work there, just my honest opinion, wished I had bought a long time ago, but not sure if this’s has been released long?

Update:We’ve upgraded our rating to 5 stars and bought a second doorbell of this model for our other door. We like this doorbell that much. We’ve also added Aosu 4 solar security cameras with the separate (not attached to the camera) solar panels, so we’re now all in with Aosu. Thank you Amazon for all of the Aosu deals. We saved a bundle. Why the upgraded rating for the doorbell? After fumbling around, we found all of the features in the app that we need to monitor the doors to our house. Video playback is still herky jerky, but we’ll live with this trade-off for exceptionally crystal clear video. This doorbell model works very well. We’re staying with the wireless option because our ‘vintage’ house requires more wiring than we care to invest in doorbells. The wireless works well with our mesh router and signal extenders with zero dropouts. We solved the battery drain in several ways. Turn off the blue doorbell light, it sucks power. Don’t monitor the area 24/7, that sucks power, too. Doing these two things keeps the doorbells charged to 90-100% for months.HOWEVER, many thanks to Aosu for not hiding the doorbell USB port inside the mounting plates. Access to the USB port when the doorbell is locked in place allows for continuous charging with solar panels and solves the entire battery drain problem permanently. We attached 5W solar panels (available on Amazon) to the doorbells and added long USB male to female cables (also Amazon) to snake around the door frames and up to the solar panels on the roof. The solar panels now keep our doorbells fully charged. This option is something that Aosu could offer for anyone opting for the wireless doorbell version. It means that we can turn back on the doorbell’s blue light and monitor 24/7 if we want. But we’re already ‘trained’ in the above ways to conserve the battery, so not going OCD here…lol. We’re not fans of the Ring community sharing (private people) and are glad not to be on that particular ‘social media’. We’re also not cloud fans (hello Crowd Strike?) and totally appreciate local storage, which we manage daily by deleting all videos. Seriously, we don’t need to save videos of the mail carrier or package deliveries and clog up the doorbell’s storage… :-).Initial Review:First off, thank you to all the reviewers. After futzing around for a year trying to figure out which video doorbell to buy, you guys helped with this decision. No regrets here. Wireless installation was a breeze and works well with our Samsung tablets. The images are crystal clear. We’ll most likely hardwire for full-time observation because doing so drains the battery too quickly. Another possibility is a USB solar panel connected to the bottom USB charging port to keep the doorbell fully charged once we figure out the correct solar panel wattage. With the porch light turned on, we turned off the infrared for full color night vision and it’s amazing even with our low wattage LED porch light. No porch light? Then you’ll need to enable infrared, which also works as it should.Suggested Improvements: The Aosu app interface is kludgy and could be improved. An interface with a drop down set of menus, think any Microsoft Office application, would go a long way to making these products more consumer friendly along with easier to configure and maintain the cameras or some pop-up words to tell the user what an icon does. Because we just ordered the Aosu 4 cam solar security camera set on deal from Amazon, we’re kind of dreading its maintenance with the current app interface. We’re maintenance minded and like to be able to do things like check the battery life (not on the home card as specified in settings), delete old files (not able to do this with the incorrect directions in the online manual, but finally figured it out with an ‘Activities’ icon), check the WiFi signal strength easily (have to futz around in settings to find it and its buried in ‘About Device’) and delete notifications/messages (we don’t need to see forever worth of messages and prefer to keep this list shorter or empty on a daily basis). We have a call into customer support because we’d like to be able to define where the Aosu app stores event files. We don’t need to fill up our internal tablet storage when we have gigantic SD cards in our tablets just for storing data.Wish list? An app for our desktops – Linux and Windows. Given that the doorbell’s hub is already on our network, then a desktop app would be an unbelievable bonus putting Aosu way ahead of everyone else. Because this isn’t an NVR, Blue Iris doesn’t support these cameras…yet…but we’re trying.By tapping our Samsung tablets to the side of our 55″ Samsung TV monitors we have the tablet’s interface on the big screen. The problem is that it’s not a KVM switch, which puts us back to the desktop app wish. Yah, we know, there are Android emulators for the desktops, but they’re still not ‘there’.All in all, as noted above, we like this doorbell so much that we’ll be all in with Aosu security once our security cameras arrive. The single star ding is for the above suggestions for the consumer’s experience and not for the hardware which works well.

I purchased the Aosu 5GHz doorbell about six months ago to replace my previous Eufy doorbell, which frequently disconnected from the app. The Aosu doorbell has performed well overall, with no issues related to the camera or live viewing. However, it recently developed a minor issue with the two-way audio feature.I contacted Aosu customer service and was assisted by Dan, Nicole, and Ann â all of whom were excellent. They answered phone calls promptly, provided helpful troubleshooting via email, and quickly identified a defective speaker. Without requiring the return of the original unit, they promptly sent me a new replacement.I also inquired about a downward-tilt bracket, and they generously included one with the replacement unit.I highly recommend this product â excellent performance and outstanding customer support. One suggestion for improvement: consider adding a second camera angled downward to help monitor packages at the doorstep.

Switched over to the Aosu doorbell after my other doorbell (Eufy) stopped connecting to my app and support would not provide any help except repeating that I needed to re-boot the router. The Aosu doorbell is many times snappier in displaying the camera feed and the app is not painful to use (previous was bloated with ads). The experience with Aosu has been even better as there was an issue with it working with the wired power supply I had installed. After contacting support I was connected with Ann who after fast troubleshooting sent a replacement which is now working flawlessly with my wired power.
