AI Facial, Pet and Gesture Recognition: Ready to experience a better smart home? Imagine your camera can recognize your face and welcome you when you come home or recognize strangers and send out notifications to warn you. You can also trigger pre-set actions with five different gestures, which is a new and unique feature that is not available in similar products of other brands.
2K 1296p Resolution & 360° Viewing Angle: The Camera Hub G3 incorporates a high-resolution 2304 x 1296 pixel sensor that results in better image quality with more details.* In HomeKit Secure Video mode, the camera records in Full HD 1080p due to the current limitations of HomeKit technology. 110° wide-angle lens coupled with the Pan and Tilt motors provides up to 340° rotation angle, supports automatic cruising, and face and pet recognition. No more Blind Areas in your home.
Local Control Center: As a Zigbee 3.0 hub, it can connect up to 128 Aqara Zigbee child-devices and allow for seamless integration across Aqara’s sensors and home automation devices such as home guard, data reporting and smart control. HomeKit, Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT are supported.Note: The IR function is not currently supported by HomeKit. Instead, you can try using Aqara Home or Google Home, as well as triggering the Aqara Home scenes via Siri Shortcuts or other voice assistants.
Local Infrared Control & 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi: The Camera Hub G3 has a built-in IR controller that can make your existing infrared-compatible devices smart and support local automations. All the IR automations are local and will run even if there is no internet connection. Moreover, no more worrying about network type compatibility: the Camera Hub G3 supports 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi, the most popular Wi-Fi frequencies, and uses them to connect your Aqara child devices to the network.
We Care About Your Privacy: The G3 Camera Hub is certified by Apple, Google, and Amazon to meet all the security standards of the system of your choice. No need to worry about privacy leakage problems. It also has a hardware privacy protection mode that can be turned on manually or automatically. This mode can be easily identified by a cute sleepy face. Moreover, the data streams from the camera are encrypted and the latest Wi-Fi security standard WPA3 is supported to further protect your data.

Aqara simple set up ready steady to go.
I’m very impressed with this 2k auto-night vision with a 360 swivel view. This camera can be set to preset monitoring positions. And that not all. Packed with many useful & usable features. Facial recognition commands & hand gesture commands makes this product a ACE purchase. The camera has a builtin hub to connect aqara’s accessories and provides a IR remote function for tv, or other remote appliances. Powered by C cable AC supply.Timer to start/end preset monitoring areas & then activate motion detection for animals & people with notification and alarm activation sent to your mobile. Yes alarm The aqara products works well together to make daily tasks simple. With one press of the Aqara wifi button can set multiple things to occurr. eg. Turn off privacy mode protection and deactivate facial recognition which has been set to turn off camera if recognised preset faces. Add a Sd micro card for event recording or continuous recording set to loop if required or take advantage of cloud storage for a subscription fee.Was not to like I hear you say.Well it not portable, can not hold a charge.Just one colour available I think so.No ethernet port. WiFi only. But overall a good indoor camera which can be connected to all Platforms of voice assistant commands. Recommended buy, clearly a clear viewing of 2k resolution to your mobile while away. “It worksss” Thanks so much aqara for a very good working app too.

    Beyond Expectation
This camera has far exceeded my expectations. It works seamlessly with HomeKit which is a massive bonus. The Aqara app allows a lot of functions for this camera. I bought this camera to keep an eye on my dog when she’s alone on some occasions. The camera has the option to turn it off so it’s not constantly looking at you, the actual camera rolls back into itself so you have piece of mind that it is in fact off. The ability to use your phone to talk through the camera is brilliant and the audio quality is surprisingly clear and loud. If you insert a micro SD card into the camera this allows for recording whenever the camera is active. It’s really easy to look through the timeline and record specific video from the timeline and save to your phone with ease. The camera quality through the Aqara app is great and the options for the recording and motion in HomeKit is great. The night vision is also exceptional. Overall, this is an exceptionally good camera with many features and capabilities. I highly recommend this indoor camera.

Fair price with a lot of nice-to-haves – just slightly offtrack.
Setup was relatively straight forward. Once in place however, wifi connection seemed a bit spotty in a mid-sized semi-detached with good networking gear. Loadspeed particularly on Homekit was very slow – Google Home and Alexa was okay but was perceptible lag.Main draw for me is the future-proofing/manufacturer-proofing integrations with Google Home, Alexa and Homekit was okay – but limitations of each protocol meant different functions in each home-ecosystem which led to a bit of confusion. Specifically bought this for Homekit integration, so was slightly disappointed when I had to use the Aqara app for a lot of the functions, because I dislike the idea of being embedded into one manufacturer. Hopefully standardisation in the smarthome industry eg Matter will improve things in the future.Build quality was good – nothing to write home about. But very much enjoyed the automatic privacy shutter of the camera – and gestures were good. However, not stand out features that make this a must have. Hub feature is also good, but can’t take advantage of that currently.Camera quality was a little bit worse than expected, but at this price I think it is fair.Eventually after getting frustrated in setting this up, I returned this and ended up paying more for an Arlo Pro 4. Looking forward to a sequel product which hopefully polishes up the integrations and the speeds.

Good value and works seamlessly with HomeKit.
I purchased this camera to replace a bricked (Thanks Kodak) baby monitor solution. We decided we didn’t need active audio monitoring, so checking in when necessary via HomeKit was good enough. The camera is good quality, easy to set up, and works flawlessly with HKSV. It also allows for notifications when movement is detected, although I only have this set up for when everyone is out of the house, as a bit of a pseudo-home security solution.

    Best PTZ camera
In my honest opinion this is one of the best indoor PTZ camera. It has multiple functions, human detection, face recognition, sound detection and more. You can integrate with Alexa and create many scenarios to do specific tasks, zoom to predefined locations. It has inbuilt ZigBee hub so you do not need an extra device to connect Aqara sensors or other products.Software is good as well. You get regular updates.

    Glad i finally went Aqara
My smart home has been slowing growing over the last few years and i constantly seem to see people heaping praise on the Aqara eco system so when i needed a new camera decided this would be a good time to start. The setup on the camera was easy and painless only taking a few minutes and it was all done, after adding the skill on Alexa a few seconds later the camera was also working on show devices. Thus far this camera is knocking other similar devices I’ve tried out of the water.First the load speed, having other camera’s in the house the load speed of this camera compared to others is so good, both in there own apps and with an echo show. Then there is the smart features with in the camera, being able to have the camera privacy shutter come on if it recognises my face or by a guesture is such a well thought out feature. Not to mention other features the camera has that may seem small but for everyday useage can be really useful that i haven’t seen others offer, like being able to turn privacy mode on with a timer or even the status light off if you hate having a light on a camera at night time. While this type of camera with always have its limitations such as fps etc in both day and night vision mode i can not fault it

Integrates seamlessly with HomeKit, even without installing the Aqara app. However, to access advanced features like panning & tilting, or rotating the feed if you’re ceiling-mounting it, you’ll need the app. Meaning you will need the Aqara app. Even if you block internet access through your router, the app still keeps uploading data in very small quantities.
