[Homekit and Matter Support] With an Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub (Excluding the Camera Hub G2H), the Dual Relay Module T2 is compatible with a variety of mainstream ecosystems, like Matter (A Matter compatible Aqara hub is required), Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa, IFTTT as well as the Aqara Home app, allowing it to be easily integrated into a wide range of smart home setups and used in smart home automation.
[Dry Contact Mode] The Aqara Dual Relay Module T2 supports dry (or potential-free) contact mode with both pulse and on-off switching, which allows you to integrate a great variety of electrical devices such as boilers, garage doors and much more into your smart home setup. In cold seasons, you can integrate the Aqara Dual Relay Module T2 with the Aqara Radiator Thermostat E1 and set up various scenes to control the boiler remotely to save energy.
[Wireless Switch Mode & Interlock for Motor Control] The T2 offers easy and secure control of tubular motors, and can also function as a roller shade switch. Additionally, with the Wireless Switch Mode, the T2 can turn an existing wall switch into a scene controller without requiring any wiring changes. For example, a button can be designated for arming your wired doorbell or security system. This feature also allows integration of other wired sensors into your smart automations (AC only).
[Energy Saving & Power off Memory] Integrating advanced energy monitoring, the T2 can ensure you maintain optimal control over your energy consumption. (Note: The energy monitoring feature is only available in wet contact mode). Thanks to the Zigbee protocol, the T2 features ultra lower idle power consumption compared to Wi-Fi relays, leading to reduced energy costs. Additionally, equipped with a power-off memory function, the T2 retains its last state even after power interruptions.
[Electrical Safety & Flexible Installation] The T2 supports overheat protection, overload protection and a customizable power limit that automatically shuts off the device if consumption exceeds your specified settings, directly safeguarding your home and your energy footprint. Also, the T2 can be installed near a light, behind a switch* or wall outlet and even includes a DIN rail mount. (*Note: The T2 (45.5 × 48 × 24 mm) fits in the round EU wall box with a depth of >60mm)

Works with SmartThings
Despite it not yet officially saying it is compatible with SmartThings, I bought it to give it a try. It works just fine and the setup process is seamless and very quick. This is a great device with many uses. I will be using it as a dry contact to control an air curtain switch. Aqara nowadays seems to be a very reliable company and one that I’ve turned to lately I that I’m trusting more and more.

Easy to pair, easy to connect
I used this as a heat demand switch for the boiler, so I can control it through an automation in Home Assistant (using a Zigbee network with Zigbee2MQTT). The installation went without a hitch: I set HA to permit all, pressed the button on the switch for about 5 seconds, and it paired. Connection is straightforward, although naming the terminals (Lout, L1 and L2) is a bit misleading, because they have nothing to do with Live. Lout is the common, and L1 and L2 can be switched independently to connect to Lout. There is no connection at all between these three terminals and the Live and Neutral terminals.

Two way wiring
I’ve used this switch and as I was unfamiliar to electricals I wasn’t 100% sure on how I was going to approach this and immediately requested a refund, tried it again and it worked⦠HURAYYY!!!, a few yt tutorials later ð. This product couldn’t been better if they had supplied a few wires

Good concept of a smart relay, but I didn’t use this
I tried out Aqara but in order to use it they require an account registration which demands more personal information than is appropriate/relevant for this type of equipment. So I returned all the Aqara kit I’d purchased and expanded my Tp-link (Tapo) system with similar but cheaper sensors. Tapo gets my vote 🙂

Great for connecting your boiler to Home Assistant
Using this to control my boiler via Home Assistant. Wired it up in dry-contact mode with the call for heat line. Works great, can’t fault it.

Relays failed within 6 months
Both relays failed to switch (stuck on) within 6 months

2x failed after 6 months of moderate use.
I’ve bought two of these over the last year, both have failed after around 6 months of use.The switch was used to automate the lights in my hallway as part of my Zigbee network, and as such was used around 30 times a day. The device load was 3 e27 Led bulbs at ~20W.On both occasions the channel fails ON, and can not be toggled by the physical switch connection or the Zigbee network. When working, you can hear an audible click when the switch toggles from ON to OFF, although not loud it’s reassuring that the device is working. This click is no longer audible since the device is stuck ON.2* as the device was easy to install, and convenient to control two channels from one device.I have since moved to the newer Sonoff ZBMINIR2, although this does not offer duel channels.

*** UPDATE April, 2025: After over a year, still working fine. My outdoor gate opens every morning at sunrise and closes every night at sunset. NO issues! Raised my rating to 5 stars just because it is so rare to find a product that works so well day-in and day-out. Will be buying more.I am using this to control an outdoor gate with a custom controller. While I could have rigged my own WiFi interface and app using an ESP32 controller, I have not been successful making these work reliably. This relay module and iOS app solve that problem. The Aqara hub is not far (~40 feet) from the relay module. The signal going through one exterior wall is 100% reliable. Being able to see signal strength (including history) in the app is a huge benefit and helps when orienting the moduleâs antenna.Apple HomeKit integration also works great. My two complaints:1. Both relays share a common COM connection. This is useless if you want to control two independent circuits.2. The appâs automation rules are limited. For example, you can trigger an automation at sunrise or sunset, but no delta can be added (e.g. 30 mins after sunset). Also, while you can combine rules (e.g. sunrise AND raining) you cannot invert a condition (e.g. sunrise AND NOT raining). Hopefully this will be fixed in a future update. In general, I am pleased with this setup. It does what it is supposed to, even if it has some limitations.

I am using it to control external blinds. Items are working ok and what is important they are quite silent. Especially compared to other Aqara switches.
