Customers say
Customers find the fingerprint reader works perfectly with Windows Hello and is super-easy to set up with automatic driver installation. Moreover, the device offers quick login capabilities with millisecond response times, and customers appreciate its small size and build quality. However, the fingerprint readability and driver support receive mixed feedback – while it recognizes up to 10 fingerprints, some customers report it doesn’t always recognize their prints, and while Windows automatically installs the required drivers for many, some customers mention issues with missing drivers.

Excellent Fingerprint Reader â Fast, Reliable, and Secure!
Iâm thrilled with the ARCANITE USB Fingerprint Reader! Itâs super easy to set up and works flawlessly with Windows 11. The 0.05s response time is impressive, and the 360-degree sensor ensures it works from any angle. Adding fingerprint recognition to my laptop has been a game-changerâquick and secure login every time! Highly recommend!

Revolutionary
Works perfectly with Windows Hello. Perfectly registers fingerprints and unlocks without any issue. One slight issue is that it doesn’t work with multiple computers. You can unplug it and plug it back in but the moment you register it, it just forgets your fingerprint.Overall, at £20 it’s an utter steal. A much easier way to log in.

Fantastic Fingerprint Reader
Windows Hello is a biometrics-based technology allowing users on Windows 10 users to sign in securely to their devices; not only that you also have secure access to your apps, networks and online services with just a fingerprint, or facial recognition. This is considered to be more secure than the traditional password; thatâs because to have a very secure password, it has to be long with different characters to make it hard to guess and shouldnât be reused; with so many complicated passwords to juggle thatâs hard to remember, hence folks tend to use easy to guess passwords or write them down. The issue with facial recognition is it automatically attempts to log you in whenever itâs presented with a face; if it recognises your face, it will log you in or unlock your screen, creating a security risk if you wanted your computer locked for whatever reason at that particular time. With a fingerprint sensor, you have so much control, as you only log in or unlock your screen when you want to. Enter ARCANITE USB Fingerprint Reader for Windows 10 Hello.I picked up this fingerprint reader from Amazon for only £22.99, with prime, meaning the delivery was the next day. In terms of looks; I like the way it looks; it complements my PC beautifully. It does protrude a little bit, about a centimetre. However, in terms of looks, it still looks quite nice plugged in at the front; you wouldnât want it at the back for practical reasons; however, you can get a desktop usb extension, if you do not want it plugged at the front of your pc or you havenât got a usb port at the front; not all pcs are created equal.Setting up was easy; it was a case of plug it in and windows automatically installed the required drivers; from them on, you go to your settings to register your finger print(s); dead easy. By the way, you can store up to 10 finger prints; the reader also has 360 degrees fingerprint detection, making it easy to sign in at any angle; itâs also lighting fast, with way over 97%+ accuracy rate for me.In terms of durability; Iâve been using this reader on a daily basis for over a month now since I purchased it with no issues; I know itâs too early to tell; however, looks wise, it looks like it was well built; however, only time will tell.In terms of value for money; at £22.99, I would say thatâs reasonable for what this thing gives you; valuable protection that a lot of us take for granted; until, one day youâre unlucky and your system or worse still your identity is compromised due to sloppy practises. In my opinion, this little gadget is definitely good value for money.

Very Good and Accurate Scanner
I use Three of these ARCANITE Finger Print Scanners. Accurate and easy to set up and not too expensive. I originally bought a more expensive one and it was not so accurate, reliable or easy to set up.

Security concerns
So, bought this some time ago.Firstly, Windows will not recognise this device. Not the end of the world, nor very unusual. What is, however, unusual, is that this looks to be a Japanese manufacturer, but if you read the ‘user manual’ PDF on its site, it links to Russian domains. The site itself also look like a horrible botch job that inspires zero confidence. You may choose to trust this device, its manufacturer, and its drivers. But I simply don’t.I’ll stick to Kingston.

Biometrics in the Security Authentication Field is the future
This is my 2nd device Fingerprint USB Biometric device which works perfectly fine under Microsoft Windows Hello! ++ authentication, which in turn, now allows me to seamlessly login to my desktop and on OATH type application such as password managers and other Applications/Services which normally would have required 2FA or complicated, MFA and use of 2nd devices to use as authentication.Specifically, I estimate the combination of using a fingerprint as a means to validate login credentials & seemless integration into OS’s Platform & Apps has speed up the entire process by a number of minites each day, which cumulatively adds up quickly. Best of all, I’m able to drop from my own brain’s memory the countless variations of passwords, i had to remember previously used across multiple Devices and WebApps/Domains. This is really one of those “No-brainers” type solutions to a common problem of Keychain management (via pwd manager). Its sturdy design with metal body housing makes this unit feel robust to last many years of repeated, daily usage! Best of all, if for whatever reason the device should malfunction in the future, you have redundant fallback to either PIN/Password/Facial recognition (if enabled on App/OS) to maintain the same levels of security.. This really is a Win/Win! Simple, Fast (0.5ms) & responsive biometric authentication, all whilst maintaining high levels of secured encryption, without complex passwords. I now own 2 of these fingerprint USB devices, One is deployed onto my main BMC Server and the Second is deployed onto my Desktop machine, I will be acquiring a third for my PVE Hypervisor as a replacement for WebAuth / PAM passkey authentication.

Works great. I set this up with a windows 11 PC. I used the windows update functionality to install the required drivers. It has worked great so far. Ive had it for a few months now and I cant think of any times that it hasnt detected my finger print properly. I use it at a handful of times each day to unlock my PC.

Seems to work well with Windows Hello, pretty fast to register. Only thing to note is that it doesn’t seem to work with an extension on USB 3.0 ports, at least for me. Solution was to use the extension with a 2.0 port and it worked fine. If you are getting the exclamation mark on the device when you look at the Biometric devices section on Windows Device Manager try using a USB 2.0 port.

Bilgisayarı her açtıÄımda Åifre girme derdinden kurtuldum. Alacak kiÅilere kesinlikle tavsiye ederim…
