Brilliant camera, excellent for my bird nest.Must download Arducam app from the website and adjust settings to get clear IR night picture. Use a led light for daytime to get better color.Gently adjust focus for nest distance.You won’t find anything better for the price.

We covered the light diode to use only as an ir camera. Very easy to read the data into python and have our 9yo writing a program to find and trace his interactive wand from hogsmeade at universal. The wand is a bright reflector of the included ir diodes. Very happy with how this is working for us!

Works out of the box documentation isnât the greatest I canât seem to get it to flip the image at the source or in the driver.

Great camera, the seller is sending me a new cable so that issue is below here. Old review: Camera has some issues right out of the box with the USB cable connecting to the micro chip that I have to keep pushing the wires into the plug or the camera disconnects and makes a click noise. I have taped the connection and I have to push the wires in but I can set it up to record for hours as s long as I don’t move it around and disconnect it on accident. I guess you get what you pay for, they must sell more of these without the case on which makes them the cheapest night vision web cam. Great picture, 60 fps, and night vision works really well just a “different” approach to selling bare bones equipment. I may have to learn how to solder the wires to get them to stop disconnecting.Dont be afraid to tweek it.

Perfect for use with Klipper as a 3D printer bed camera. It isn’t worth messing with ribbon cables, especially now that the Pi 5 has switched things around. The way it automatically switches between ambient and its built-in IR illumination is very handy.
