LOW, TIGHT AND SMOOTH BASS: The S8 Subwoofer delivers great bass performance.
FEATURES: 250 watt, 8-inch powered down-firing subwoofer with auto-sleep power saving mode. Solid hand-finished, front-ported MDF cabinet, dual line-level inputs (RCA and mini-jack) and LFE, selectable crossover frequency adjustment, and phase switch. Frequency response: 27Hz – 180Hz (+/-1.5dB). Elastomer isolation feet to reduce vibrations and resonance. The S8 also features connections for wireless expandability via the Audioengine W3.
WORKS WITH: All Audioengine powered speakers via the analog output. Compatible with AV receivers or preamps and other powered speakers with variable line level output.

Zusammen mit Audioengine 2+ ein warmer, voller Sound. Bei den Tieftönnern besonders klangvoll und nicht blechernd. Läuft beim TV als Audioquelle, bin sehr zufrieden. Eine runde Sache vom Klang her, gute Ergänzung. Hat seinen Preis, lohnt sich!

This SW is so powerful that I had to keep it at 20 percent of the volume and still I can feel the bass in other rooms, in my headset! It has a lot of power.I am really happy with the quality of the bass, as it is tight. One of the most important parts of the SW are the isolation feet which helps it give powerful and tight bass. I can clearly feel the difference after adding this to my system. I use it with Klipsch R speakers. Deep bass is now so much enjoyable, whether in movies or music.If you want to try a SW, buy this first.

Okay, zwei Subwoofer scheinen für einen 20 Quadratmeterraum überdimensioniert. Problem bei mir ist der Raumschnitt mit groÃem Eingangs- bzw. Durchgangsbereich. Bekomme mit nur einem Subwoofer keine vernünftige Klangverteilung hin und müsste das Gerät sehr ungünstig platzieren.Idee: Ich hole mir noch einen zweiten und balanziere die gegeneinander aus. Immer noch nicht optimal, aber deutliche Verbesserung und sie stehen gut platziert, ohne ein Hindernis zu sein. Und ein bisschen protzen gehört halt zum Leben dazu.Der Audioengine S8 250W bietet ein sehr gutes Preis/-Leistungsverhältnis, ist im oberen Bereich leicht am schwächeln und im unteren Bereich etwas zu bissig und nicht ganz so elegant im Sound wie der Cabasse.Die Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig, das Design ist ansprechend und das Gerät ist von der GröÃe her nicht zu klotzig.Auf der Oberseite hat es einen Fabrikfehler. Leichte Eindellung, die man aber nur im Gegenlicht sieht. Ich war zu faul, den Subwoofer deswegen umzutauschen.Fazit: Bin sehr zufrieden.
