Excellent Piece of Kit
I’ll start by saying this is expensive, and it is. However, I have the slightly cheaper Bosch version and on a wall in a new house I kept getting false readings so I upgraded to this version so I wouldn’t hit a pipe or cable.It is worth the money and is impressive to use. It very accurately detects studs that are buried deep along with plastic water pipes (mine are filled and running). It also found the power cables as long as they were in active use.It does require several passes to be sure, and a little practice as these things often do. However, it’s well worth the investment and I am hoping mine will last for years if I look after it.Very happy with the purchase, I would highly recommend and it came next day with Amazon.

Amazingly good ð
This works exceptionally well and very impressed with the quality and ease of use, bought this for my daughter and partner who have just purchased a new home together which has all stud walls covering electric cables and central heating pipes, this machine is invaluable and has avoided so many disasters, it works great and worth paying the extra amount to buy this. Much more accurate than others at finding things in walls, poor at finding live cables
In general much better than the lower cost units I have used for finding things in walls but completely fails at finding live cables. But at least I now know something is there, the worry is that I can’t tell the difference between a stud and a live cable. Hopefully my other detectors will help in this area.

If you’re drilling walls, you NEED one of these – and this one works fantastically
I am in the process of fitting a new kitchen. Although fairly expensive, this detector has already paid for itself – at least in my stress levels! – as I needed to hang wall cabinets on a wall that I knew had 3 groups of mains cables and a gas pipe behind the plasterboard – all of which were safely avoided because of this device.Some reviewers reported that it gives false readings for mains cables when there aren’t any (and also some reviewers on a popular video web site) – they probably needed to read the instructions….if the device indicates mains, and when you put your hand on the wall near to it, it changes to indicating ‘something’ rather than mains, then it was actually static electricity that was giving the false mains readings. All of this is in the instructions.Highly recommended – read the instructions – don’t drill walls without until you’ve checked them with this.

Decent, But Not as Reliable as Expected
Picked this up for some renovation work, hoping it would accurately detect joists and wiring through plaster walls. Unfortunately, it gave me a few too many false positives for live wires, causing unnecessary worry. It also struggled to consistently show the exact center of joists, which was a bit frustrating. It works okay as a rough guide, but for the price, I expected more accuracy. Probably fine for occasional use, but if precision matters, you might want to look elsewhere.

Overall I am pleased with the performance of the scanner despite of at times being inconclusive, it did however perfomed well detecting certain materials.

Bosch been producing quality equipment.This d tect will shine if used properly.To keep in mind this scanner can work on concrete walls as expected incontrast to pther generic scanner they are made for drywalls not concrete walls as in Saudi Arabia.If you are a DIYer in a budget then this scanner is yhe one to go if you find a good deal.

Es utilÃsimo, tiene una sensibilidad increÃble y detecta también tuberÃas de plástico con agua. He tenido que hacer muchos agujeros en las paredes y no he tenido problemas. Para mà es el mejor, lo recomiendo.
