I’m a happy bunny!
I received my Bose soundbar today and so far I’m very impressed. It was very simple to set up, when I found out where the outlet was on the back of my TV. Once I got used to the remote control, I played with it on various programmes, and switched from dialogue to normal several times to compare….there is no comparison! I’m one of those people who when watching a film is continually saying “what did he/she say?” Which is why I went for a soundbar. Also I also can’t stand music in programmes drowning out the dialogue. I have watched the Big bang theory so many times I virtually know the scripts, and today, I watched an episode and during a funny scene, I suddenly heard an audience member laugh and then say oh nooo…..never heard that before. Also when people applaud, it doesn’t sound as if they’re clapping with gloves on! On the whole its not one with all the bells and whistles, but its perfect, simple to set up, good looking, and its now making my viewing a pleasure, crisp, clear voices, no sudden crash of music drowning out speech. Some people are mentioning that a lack of lights on the unit is a small let down, but hey, when I use the volume control, I don’t need lights to tell me its working, I can hear it! I didnt realise what I was missing until I bought this unit, and I’m so glad I did. Its a perfect piece of kit, neat and unobtrusive and the sound quality is great. If you’re new to soundbars as I am, its a perfect entry level and great value for money….and it’s Bose….you can’t go wrong.
EDIT… after a few days use, I’m still delighted on the dialogue improvement, and the fact that the background music is exactly that, quiet in the background. But, after a few days use, and this is just my preference, I’m finding the bass a bit too much, I’ve tried many times to turn it right down, to no avail. I really can’t stand that deep thrumming bass sound, never have, so this is the 1 niggle that is spoiling this soundbar experience for me. So if like me you don’t like a deep bass, this might not be for you. I’m already thinking of upgrading, but can’t afford it yet! Apart from the bass problem, I still like the product, but as most Netflix/TV programmes/films have a ton of music playing constantly during the programme, its annoying with the heavy bass. I just hope its not annoying the neighbours! BTW, the Bluetooth connections to my laptop and phone were a doddle, and I love listening to my music without having to confine them to a set of speakers. So to sum up, love the product, hate the bass!

Superb TV soundbar for the price.
Wow – have had a number of TV soundbars – Orbit, JBL – all entry level at the cheapest prices available at the time – but this is the most superior by far.
Pros: very easy setup, turns on with TV/set top box, voice enhancement options works well. Small footprint. Quality remote and integrates easily with Virgin media remote. Build quality is very good for the price.
Very good bass that isnât overwhelming and music reproduction is excellent.
Cons: no HDMI port.
Highly recommended.

It works, good sound if you don’t have weak tv speakers
This was on offer for £149. It’s a good speaker and a definite improvement for our 1 year old LG tv. The instruction booklet has basic info to get started but the other instructions need to be downloaded from the website. What I like is the ease of set up,it comes with an optical cable and wall mounting bracket. But what I didn’t like is the reliance of the lights on the unit to show you the bass levels. Also is the lack of flexibility in being able to adjust settings. This unit overrides the tv setting so you can’t adjust treble or bass or anything else. So in effect the only thing you can have is bass mode or dialogue enhancer. You can adjust the bass and not anything else. The bass for me is too powerful even when off but others may like that. For me I only need this to enhance sound while watching tv and catching those quiet dialogues. It’s also not currently not connectable to the Bose app – but I didn’t buy it for this. For a tv speaker it does it job but to me it’s not outstanding- the lack of being able to adjust settings is disappointing.

Probably the best you can buy in this, and higher price brackets!
For clarity, I only write reviews when I think something is either really bad or really good. Firstly to confirm, the majority of the viewpoints already offered are indeed accurate, For the price this compact little sound bar packs a lot of punch and is acoustically excellent! Voice clarity, bass response and volume are all excellent, see below..
Sound quality: firstly the bass! I can’t quite believe how punchy this thing is! BOSE are of course known for this, but even still it manages to crank it out even at high volumes! Mids and hight are also bright without being harsh. Very impressed.
For movies & TV: – This replaces an Orbit Sound system that comprised of the sound bar and bluetooth sub-woofer. So often we had to have the volume way too high simply to be able to hear the dialogue. With this, clarity is off the scale, its not even in the same vicinity, and that without using the voice boost function. All this without compromising the bass. Impressed!
For music: – I had some idea that this is where it might fall down, thinking it was tuned for TV and video… Nope! sounds amazing and if anything the bass is even deeper.
Setup is literally plug n play, works like any other bluetooth speaker, could not be easier!
My one gripe; as I am sure has already been mentioned, is that there is no HDMI port, connectivity is either optical (recommended) or analogue via 3mm jack or coaxial. This is a small price to pay with this quality at this price though.
I am so impressed I am considering buying another!

Klare Kaufempfehlung!
