I know it’s a gamble, well I lost but not completely.
I read the bad reviews and thought well, probably it’s because their phone is not compatible or they don’t know how to use it. So I took a chance. I have 20,000 photos I wanna transfer from my iPhone to an USB, and this £10 USB adapter wouldn’t do the job. It works for a while, but slowly. My iPhone detects it 40% of the time, and disconnects occasionally. I highlight upload 150-200 photos at a time, and they transfer about 20-30 pictures before it disconnects. It does get very hot. If I have to transfer 5 files or something then it does the job, but using Drive would be much faster.

Fantastic value
Having already purchased one of these connectors some years ago, I knew the benefit of them. The price of this one is about 20% of the first one, and it works like a dream.

It didnât work
For a digital compact camera like the one I post, it didnât do the job. I am disappointed since that was the main purpose I bought the cable. It might be useful with usb but still need to try it out. It came out with a small scratch.Update: doesnât work with USB either. Useless.
