A MUST READ Q & A for Boxlood Motion Sensor Bulb Before Ordering
Q: Will this work in my lighting fixture?
A: If you lighting fixture is not fully enclosed, and after you install the bulb, the sensor on top of the bulb will not be covered, then this works.
Q: Why is it still on when turning on the switch in the daytime?
A: Please don’t worry, this is normal, whenever you turn on the switch, the bulb will be turned on, after 1 minute, the bulb will work normally, also, please remember to leave the switch on.
Q: Will it work through glass/transparent lamp shade?
A: No, as the sensor is PIR type, sensor function will be blocked by the shade.
Q: Why does the bulb not work?
1-A: Bulb’s working temperature is -10℃-35℃, if the outside temperature is out of the range, the bulb may won’t work properly, especially in summer.
1-A: This bulb also builts in a light sensor which makes it only light up in the darkness, it will only turn on when the bulb detects movement in the darkness.(Bulb will auto turn on when the ambient light is less than 15lux, bulb will stay off when the ambient is more than 30lux)
2-A: Please check if there is other infrared / IR devices around the bulb, they will be interfered by each other.
3-A: Please check if the switch still remains on.

Great idea
These bulbs work well, very bright, standard size, no flickering. I’m not sure of the lifespan as just purchased and the manufacturer has no information on this, however am sure they will be value for money, 2 bulbs which people forget to switch off in our house are the cloakroom and hall so problem solved.

Working Perfectly
So far this outdoor light is working completely as wanted. Does not come on during daylight but senses movement just as light begins to fade, perfect. It is nice and bright with not the slightest flicker. Response to movement is instant within about2 to 3 yards. Switches off after 30 to 45 seconds. I only had the for 2 weeks so can’t coment on durability. Very pleased so far.

Bought this to have automatic lights in the hallway, mainly to prevent grandma from walking around in the dark. Works great! Has a decent enough range to catch people in the doorway, and it stays on for just enough to get from one room to another, even at grandma walking pace :)it’s also a fun convenience for the rest of the fam

motion sensor failure
Simply don’t detect any motion. I have to physically touch the bulb to make it switch on. The connection is fine as normal bulbs work perfectly in the connector. Removed the glass lamp shades even though they don’t appear to be impeding the sensor. Still the same only light up when you touch the light bulb. Both bulbs in the pack are the same, so logically it’s a production or design fault. I’m sending them back.

Very convenient
These are wonderful bulbs and very convenient. Please note, there is no override function, so the light is completely off if the switch is off, or the light is on the sensor when the switch is on. Highly recommend as they’ve made life so much easier. We have them in two hallways and have been using them for nearly a month and haven’t had any issues with the sensors. They even pick up the cat so it’s great.

60% of the time, it works every time
I put it in the utility room such that the light gets turned on automatically when I open the door, it worked fine initially but recently it began to fail, the light remains on even after when I close the door, and the light can just turn on without intervention for no reason sometimes
