It also ensures weatherproof coverage for the mount itself, helping reduce rain water corrosion for all parts of your camera install. The wide bore design makes it easy to access to dismount your camera too, for example to enable charging without needing to remove the shield, unlike a rubber sleeve.
Rain and Snow: Over time, repeated exposure to heavy rain can damage your camera, even if it is waterproof rated. Rainwater on the lens of a camera can also distort or partially obscure the image and recordings too. Not great just when you need to catch someone in the act.
Sun: Bright sunshine won’t damage CCTV cameras, but if the sun shines directly into a camera’s lens, it may cause ‘lens flare’, which blocks the camera’s view.
Wind and dust: Strong winds can actually blow cameras out of position. Better deflects dust and dirt away from all parts of your camera.
UV protection: Reduces sun heat reaching your camera’s battery, as overheating can lower its performance and operational duration.

Good size and all round protection.
I recently put up a security camera for the back garden and needed a camera cover to provide some protection from the elements.This product is very sturdy and made from a hard plastic which feels robust enough to last for years. It is really very easy to mount (raw plugs and screws) just be sure to have a ladder or something which allows you enough height to be comfortably above the cover when mounting as there is a screw hole directly on the outer middle of the cover. If not, you will have a hard time feeling for the hole to mark the wall for drilling as well as when it comes to fixing the cover with a screwdriver.I was worried that the cover would not provide adequate cover & protection for the camera but I can confidently say that it is actually a great size. The camera is sufficiently protected on both sides as well as in the front i.e. doesnât get wet from the rain and is also shaded from the sun, all day long.As far as camera covers go, this is a great product and I recommend purchasing one for yourself.

Sturdy and helps protect camera
Bought to help keep some of the rain off our Ring Camera. Certainly does the job and if well built. Easy to fit and matches the appearance of the camera well, but think the price is a bit too high for what is after all just a piece of plastic.

Better safe than sorry.
Ideal for protecting all cameras types for outdoor security. It does not matter weather your cameras are waterproof or not, just get a protective housing and shroud them over. These items from “Boxulock” are ideal and easy to fit. A word of warning though, use stainless steel, or rustproof washers for securing the housing, as washers are not supplied. Other than that just be content that snow, rain will not damage your expensive cameras.

Waiting for the rain to really test this
Fitted this yesterday so this is very much an initial review, hence the three star rating is based purely on limited experience of product. As with so many plastic products, this seems very expensive for what you get which is essentially similar to a bit of plastic guttering. However, it feels of good quality and is easy to fix to outside brickwork using the plugs and screws provided. The big test is, of course, when bad weather strikes which, according to forecasts is today when we are told to expect a months rain in a day. I will update once it has been tested.

Usata per proteggere una telecamera da esterno arlo, in posizione molto esposta a sole ed intemperie.à abbastanza lunga da evitare che lâobiettivo della telecamera si bagno quando piove e la curvatura è abbastanza ampio da evitare di ingombrare la visuale anche negli angoli.Solida e resistente, ha preso anche della grandine senza che si producesse alcun danno.La consiglio.
