Good value, especially with the tester included
First time I have ever used one of these so can’t compare with anything but I managed to make some leads without too much trouble. A bit fiddly at first but if I can give one tip, when you have unravelled the twisted pairs they are still a bit wavy. so grab the ends of each cable one at a time with a pair of pliers and give each one a couple of gentle tugs to straighten them out.

Really nice crimper with accessories
I’ve done quite a bit of crimping Ethernet cables, and I have to say that the crimper included in this kit is the best I have seen. It feels incredibly solid and well-built, and has a lovely smooth action – no ratcheting, but the lever effect from the way the force is transmitted makes a ratchet unnecessary. It also has a built in cutter and stripper, and two spare blades.Also included is a bog-standard Ethernet cable tester, which requires a 9V battery – not included, 50 Ethernet plugs, a wire cutter and a simple wire stripper. Other than cable, this is everything you need to make up patch cables – it’s a small thing, but there is even a sticker on the side of the crimper with the relevant colour codes. Recommended.

Cable tester is waste of money
Don’t buy this kit with the cable tester included. The cable tester is cheap and does not actually tell the truth when it comes to a cable working or not…. I made one up, tested ok, but does not work… Waste of money

Works well
Wanted to get some cables run round the house rather than rely on Wifi.This crimper kit works well, but you will almost certainly find it fiddly to start with. No way round that, CAT cabling is a faff.The tool cuts and crimps and produces a decent result. The kit is very comprehensive.Good price too.

This kit does the job needed for a few connectors. I have stayed away from pass through connectors in the past since without the proper tool to flush cut the ends, it can cause issues. This crimp tool in the kit functioned as advertised and gave surprising results. I have not tested the wire tester in the kit, but I am pleased with the results for my needs.
