Neutral not required. Works a treat.
My bedroom light switch has no neutral wire and I wanted to install a smart switch that I could use with Alexa instead of spending £1,000,000 (ok, I exaggerate a little) on GU10 smart bulbs.This switch was advertised as not requiring a neutral wire and although it does indeed work with a neutral wire I can confirm it is running perfectly fine without one. The instructions take you through the added requirement of installing a capacitor on the light across the switched power and the neutral wires.I followed the instructions carefully, including switching the power off at the circuit board first and everything went according to plan.Installing the app was easy, yes I had to set-up an account on the app which some will not like but I’m accepting of this requirement. I then linked it to Alexa without issue. The light switch is illuminated and I like the fact I can toggle that illumination on or off when the switch is off, therefore I am not disturbed by the illumination when the room is dark.

Looks great but make sure there is room.
I found it quick and easy to install. It works perfectly and looks great, BUT, if you have one of the shallow back boxes on your existing switch it will not fit in that space.Also be aware you will need to put the included little gadget across the lamp itself or the switch will not work.

Almost a brilliant device
I used a 3-D printed spacer, rather than drilling and chiselling out my wall for a deeper box. This, combined with my modern kitchen 6ft LED batten light didn’t require the installation of the capacitor. I had to reduced the comms on my Plusnet 2 router to level 3, its simplest and also turned off the 5GHz comms in order for the light switch to link, but when conditions were right, it did so quite rapidly. I hot melt glued the spacer to the wall and the switch was connected to the live and the switched line. No problem at all with that. However, there was no way on this earth or Fullers that the glass front would clip onto the metal framework. I must have tried 100 different ways to do it, but no such luck. In the end, I used hot melt glue to fix the switch to the metal frame and then used hot melt glue to stick the glass front onto the switch. Overall, the result is more than satisfactory to me. I’d strongly recommend this switch if used with modern LED illumination, but only if you have a hot-melt glue gun LOL! I now have a very efficient touch switch and can also voice control it via Alexa. Delighted and am figuring out how to fit one to my downstairs bathroom! Yes, If I figure out the physical requirements, I’ll gladly buy again.

Sleek and modern black wireless switch
The switch was easy to install following the instructions. It connected to the Wi-Fi and Alexa very easily. I had no problems at all. Also, it looks great and sleek on the wall. I definitely recommend.

Stopped working after 2 months
This worked for 2 months then started switching itself on and off rapidly for 10 seconds then just gave up. Now it wont work at all. How do i get a refund?

Flat to the wall with no screws.
These switches look very smart on the wall as long as you have extra deep lighting boxes! The fronts clip on after everything is installed and look very smart with just a flat surface. Easy to keep clean also.They paired very easily with the smart life app and Alexa and donât need a separate hub.I had mine installed by a qualified electrician but they were easy to do. Need to check when lit for the first time as you may need to put a capacitor on the first light in the run.The only negative that if using in a room with several spot lights or anywhere else if one bulb goes the rest wonât work either.

So fare had nine switches delivered of these two failed. So almost 20% redundancy which isnât brilliant. Amazon has exchanged and refunded the faulty ones so all good.

Reliability and customer service
I have three of these, two for more than a year and one just under one year. They are in our living room, dining room and conservatory so they get a lot of use. I found them really easy to set up and they have performed flawlessly. One did fail after about 11 months, but the customer service was excellent. They offered advice on attempting to reset the switch, but when that failed they sent out a replacement unit very quickly.

Bin Begeistert 🙂 habe 3 Einzelschalter gekauft. Beim ersten Schalter ging es mir wie dem Belgischen Kollegen der die Rezession geschrieben hat dass die touch tasten nicht gehen^^ aber das Blech gehört andersrum an den Kanten von der Wand wegstehend nicht anliegend. 😀 dann kickst auch der Innenkörper schön ins Halterungsblech und auch die Bedienblende klickst schön ein. Es funktionierte dann einwandfrei, Kondensator an der Lampe montieren L beim Eingang N beim Ausgang und hat sich auch mit der Elesion App sofort einbinden lassen und funktioniert mit Alexa einwandfrei :)Wieder ein Problem hervorragend gelöst. Danke für diesen Artikel. Freue mich schon auf den Wechselschalter der morgen kommt 🙂

Ich habe schon mehrere Schalter von BSEED in meiner Wohnung verbaut und bis jetzt war immer zufrieden. Das ist hier mein erster Schalter mit Kondensator weil ich bei diesem Licht weder neutral Leiter habe noch ohne einen groÃen Aufwand einen Leitung verlegen kann. Ich habe den Schalter im Flur verbaut und auch gleich bei einer Lampe den Kondensator angeschlossen ich möchte bemerken das ich im Flur zwei Lampen habe. Den Schalter konnte ich mittels App gleich in mein WLAN einrichten auch die Verbindung mit Alexa kein Problem. Des weiteren habe ich eine Routine erstellt dass beim Ãffnen mit Nuki das Flurlicht angeht. Auch die Abdeckung aus Glas schaut sehr hochwertig aus und er wird auch nicht warm. Wer jemand seine Schalter umrüsten will und keine neutrale Leiter zur Verfügung hat ist dieses eine einfache Möglichkeit seine Wohnung etwas Smarter zu machen. Von mir gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung. Eine Anmerkung zum Schluss wenn man Schalter wechselt muss man auf jeden Fall den Anschluss stromlos machen, solltet ihr unsicher sein zieht einen Elektriker zu.
