Excellent, easy to use and exactly what I needed
Iâve been looking for a centre webcam for months now, as Iâm a PhD student and need to attend/present at virtual conferences. It was so easy to attach to my iMac, no software, no complicated settings. The device itself is easily manoeuvred to the exact position you want it, allowing you to make eye contact on calls. It can also easily be positioned away, on top of your screen. I wish I had bought this months ago. Excellent product, and would definitely recommend it to anyone.*Update: I ended up returning the camera simply because the quality of the video wasnât great, and the camera was just too expensive. If it had of been half the price I would have made due with the less than clear quality, but for the price it doesnât seem like good value for money, which is a real shame.

Very adaptable
It might look a bit clunky but it does the trick. Very versatile, and easy to locate the camera wherever you want it over the computer screen. Adjustable in horizontal and vertical axes, and the camera can slide up and down the mounting rod. Definitely “plug and play” with no irksome set-up. The camera is true HD with Zoom function and builtin microphone.

Terrible camera pic quality
What did I like: the functional design. I wanted a camera that I could lower to eye level in front of my monitor, as I use a 34″ widescreen and often I am aware I’m not looking into the eyes of my counterpart when on Zoom, as my existing webcam sits atop the screen.What did I not like:1) the picture quality is terrible. I can’t believe this is HD. My existing Larmtek £19.99 webcam from 2020 is way way sharper, and it deals with the light in the rom far better.2) the sound quality is also not great, certainly not as good as my £19.99 Larmtek webcam.So after testing settings etc to make sure I was not doing something silly, I’ve submitted a return to Amazon, as despite the clever functional design, the cam is too poor quality to use.

This is a solid choice for anyone looking for an eye contact webcam. I’ve tried several models (listed below), and while many have disappointed me in terms of image quality, this one stands out. Some webcams, like the Pegatisan 1080P, are more compact and unobtrusive, which I appreciate, and this one is a bit bulkier by comparison. That said, it delivers excellent, sharp video quality that rivals webcams in the $250 range (I also own an OBSBOT 4K, which has fantastic video quality).I primarily use this webcam on Linux, where most cameras work right out of the box, but with limited functionality. This model, however, supports all standard video functions, including pan and tiltâfeatures that few eye contact webcams offer (none of the ones listed below supports these features).On the downside, it doesnât include a privacy cover, which is a bit of a miss. Also, adjusting the camera on its mount can be tricky. While I understand why itâs designed with a tight fit, it does require some effort to position the cameraâdefinitely a two-hand operation, as CA mention.Despite these minor inconveniences, this is an excellent camera overall. The image quality is great right out of the box, with vibrant colors and clarity and good performance in low lighting conditions. Iâd definitely recommend it.For context, Iâve also tried the Ceabulila 4K, the IPEVO DO-CAM 8MP, and the PEGATISAN 1080P webcams, and was very underwhelmed by their video quality. All were grainy and struggled in low-light conditions. In comparison, the Cyber Acoustics Essential Webcam Flex outperforms all of them by a wide margin.

Good quality webcam. The adjustable arm makes it usable as a document camera, which is very useful in my classroom. Three very sensitive buttons adjust image rotation, zoom and focus. The base is heavy-ish and solid feeling. I use it for work and online meetings when I have to display worksheets, documents, art projects etc. plug and play, easy to use. Well designed cam.

I have a camera rig setup that I made myself that folds out of the way but it is a bit bulky. I saw this camera and thought this is more streamlined and folds away a lot more compact. I got this camera today and went to set it up. Mounting it on top of a monitor and then sliding and utilizing the camera is impossible. When you go to slide the camera out the mount moves and you have to hold it with one hand and slide the shaft that the camera is mounted on. Putting it in the stored position requires you to hold the mount again. The shaft is too short to come to the middle of my screen and because my monitor is mounted higher, the camera is above eye level. The zoom feature leaves a lot to be desired also. I will be returning mine. I had really high hopes but this camera is really disappointing.
