Optical right angle connector
Item arrived within a few days securely packaged. A very useful device to align the optical cable along the back of a wall mounted TV instead of the cable sticking straight out at the back. No criticism of the connector itself, it works, but I don’t think much of the Optical cable connection system; I would like to see a much more positive joining method similar to the Phillips phono jack. I found that unless the optical cable itself is securely supported at the connector the weight of the cable would sometimes pull out of the connector: a real bind. Overall though the connector itself does the job I bought it for.

Moving my TV from stand to wall mount, I decided to get all the litttle bits to make the job look professional. The right angle connector was perfect to allow the cables to flow down the wall as oppose to jutting out of the back of the TV. Easy to order, quick on delivery and fitted in seconds. It also rotates, allowing the cables to be fed toward the centre of the TV before entering the cable channel. Result – Tidy professional wall mount.

I needed this to come from the back of my Laserdisc player, which is tight up against the back of it’s cabinet, the optical cable on it’s own meant the glass door could not be closed, this little device ensured that extra bit of space at the rear was restored, so the door can be shut, as the plug is hinged, the cable is not rigid in the back of the machine, very handy, and works with no problems.

Insertion problem solved
Cable optical plug would not fit fully into the socket of this device, even though reasonable force was used, until a sharp knife was used to remove the two short lengths of raised plastic on the plug which normally insert into the socket to provide a secure fitting. This could be the reason why some users have only given a one star rating saying that the device does not work.

Connettore di buona costruzione, per me è comodissimo perché lo uso dietro alla televisore a schermo piatto appesa al muro ed avendo problemi di spazio minimo questo convettore assolve perfettamente alla mia esigenze.
