Huge range of colours
Iâ am using the Smart Candle E14 LED Bulb in my bedroom. The Calex Smart App makes it super easy to control the light from my phone. I can adjust the brightness, set timers, and choose from warm white, cool white, or even sixteen million colours. Choose one static colour or make it retate aroundd all rainbow colours.I love using the warm yellow light before going to sleep, so calming. For special occasions, the colored lighting creates a romantic and cozy atmosphere. By choosing another colour for eg. red .Setting it up was simple; I connected it to my 2.4 GHz WiFi, as well Bluetooth need to be turned on the phone. You can use it without needing any extra equipment. It also should work with Alexa, I didint try out this function.This bulb is versatile, easy to use, and perfect for any mood. Highly recommend!

Nice warm light bulb for our bedroom with app controls
Needed a nice warm light bulb for our bedroom. This bulb fits the bill on warmest setting. Tried to connect to Alexa but unfortunately failed on both Calex and Tuya due to our weak 2.4GHz wifi signal. Alexa doesn’t list Calex bulbs as an option but unsure if that was also an issue. I installed the Calex app and the brightness dimming and the on/off timer settings work well once set. When all is said and done we love the light and we have discovered a genius workaround to Alexa. We have a light switch on our lamp and we are able to turn the light on and off ourselves. Thinking of buying another one.

Tuya compatible
This E14 bulb from Calex came well packaged and has a good quality feel to it. With so many companies making smart bulbs most of us will want to avoid using multiple apps to control different lights, so I wasnât that keen on installing Calexâs own app. These bulbs do support Alexa and Google Assistant which is a good start, but what I found out from the box is these are Tuya based which means they can be added directly to the Tuya app which I know quite a lot of people use, or in my case opens up the option to add to Home Assistant which I use to control all my smart devices.The majority of my smart lights are Philips Hue and although the quality of these bulbs isnât quite up to that level, for small E14 bulbs these are far better value for the odd table lamp. Be aware these are Wi-Fi – and only 2.4GHz like almost all Wi-Fi smart bulbs – so lack the benefits of Zigbee, Z-Wave etc.The colour rendering isnât quite as vibrant as the Hue bulbs but fine for individual lamps. If you plan to use multiple bulbs grouped together I suggest sticking with a single brand so they match as even small variations in colour will be quite obvious when grouped together.All in all these are good value Tuya bulbs.

A total faff – don’t buy it
I bought these to give them a go. There is nowhere near enough discussion about what a pain in the backside these sorts of products are, which require you to faff around with your internet settings and change the strength of them simply to do what the product says it does on the tin.It’s a lightbulb! It should just work.I went back to ordering the one’s that come with a little remote control, and have resolved to dumb down from internet products again.

Dachte, bei dem Preis kann man nichts falsch machen . Am Ende ist es auch so. Die Lichter gehen über Alexa an und aus (falls nicht eine der 3 Birnen der Deckenlampe meint sie hätte kein Netz, obwohl die anderen Netz haben). Das Dimmen ist, um es mal nett auszudrücken âbescheidenâ. Bei 5% glaubt man immer noch man wäre bei min 90%. Die Farben sind, um es mal freundlich ausdrücken, âunterirdischâ.Trotzdem, wenn man die Lampen einsetzt um dort wo man sie braucht helles Licht zu haben und keinen Wert auf Dimmen oder Farbe legt, sind sie gut.
