Bought for £33 instead of £45.
This is my first ever tripod so my findings may be pretty repetative to those of you experienced with these.PROS:I found the general sturdiness of the aluminium used, nice and strong. The tripod when set to its lowest setting as shown in the video is very sturdy. I haven’t set this to its highest setting so cant judge there im afraid. The size of this while packed down to its smallest form factor is very nice and compact, and is also lightweight and definitely a comfortable size and weight to take to a zoo for the afternoon. It has a nice handle for carrying, and also 1 of the legs has a padded foam to add extra comfort while carrying it, especially in cold conditions. Thats a very welcome touch!CONS:The tilt function whilst using the handle does not become looser or tighter regardless to whether i undo or tighten the thumbscrew on the side of the tripod. This isn’t exactly a deal breaker as for me, it is tight as you can see in the video which means with a weighty camera on, it wont slip forward or backwards under its own weight. It would have been nice, like the hotshoe angle adjuster has a really good lever that allows for adjusted resistance while tilting the head to portrait mode, if the 360 rotation resistence worked the same. However it is not a huge problem as it does move with a little muscle, and stays firmly in place wherever i set it to.When using the 360 degree rotation, there is quite evident play in the head of the tripod as shown in the video. The only time the head is stable and not jiggling around is when the head is fully rotated clockwise which then means you can barely rotate clockwise any further, and rotating anticlockwise then allows for the head to become a bit wobbly again, also shown in the video. So 360 video footage without video stabilisation MAY not be completely smooth as there is some play up and down. The “neck” or shaft of the tripod when extended vertically via the hand crank is also wobbly when extended even just an inch. I appreciate this may be incredibly difficult for designers to come up with a completely sturdy solution due to the portion of “neck” growing increasingly smaller inside the tube as it extends upwards, means there is smaller and smaller neck to be held inside the tube. These are pretty small gripes for 99% of situations to be honest and unless you are filming and have no video stabilisation, then these things wont affect you too much, if at all. For example if you were doing still photography with a long shutter speed and delay, then pressing the shutter button and leaving the camera alone means the issues i have experienced, will be void as the tripod will remain still a split second after taking my hand off it. It is only when i move the handle or extend the neck that i have found the wobble is present, which again would only be noticed if i was taking a video.I think for still photographers, this will be more than sufficient however i cannot pass judgement on this tripod with any of the legs being extended. The above mentioned “issues” with stability is why i have given 4 out of 5 stars. Again, this is my first ever tripod so this could be an extremely common occurence with these things.

Tripod for Nikon D3300 using telephoto lens
Arrived promptly and first impressions are that this is a really good sturdy tripod, admittedly I have not used it outside yet but setting it up in doors was really easy and it supports my Nikon D3300 with a fairly heavy 400mm zoom lens pretty well. I am not sure how solid the centre column will be when fully extended in windy conditions, time will tell. Overall I am really pleased with the tripod, especially for the price seems really good value for money, if it stands up to being used regularly outside then would highly recommend.

Sturdy & easy to set up
Product came extremely quickly, with a helpful carry bag. The carry bag is made of cheap fabric and I can’t imagine its very durable, with one small tear already near the strap, however I wasn’t expecting the bag at all. It has good stability, longer lenses e.g 300mm extension may need to be cautious of wind. I mounted a canon D3200 and it fit easily and firmly with the non slip rubber to keep it snug. The clips to hold the separate extensions up seem to be pretty durable and I haven’t encountered any slipping of the rod so far. Really pleased. Diolch
