good smart tech but you need a zigbee hub
Hi, ive got a lot of smart tech and I love using devices like this, I have sensors that work but this needs a separate hub of which I don’t have and didn’t pay attention too, I don’t have a zigbee hub and this is what you need, but I have similar devices and know this is a good gadget very small and easy to place where you need, I have some when going down steps into a basement and its lit automatically, so they can be useful ð

For Philips Hue hubs – this is not compatible
First off, I am a Philips Hue user and Philips have annoyingly locked their system to just using their own motion sensors. I did try finding a way round but no joy. No problems thought I as I also have an Amazon Echo Show 8 and so that was my backup as I realised the possibility that I could not get it to work with my set up. This would still allow home automation through Alexa … except it was only after I tried to get it to work that I found out my version of the Echo Show 8 does not have the Zigbee hub function, that was the next version.In the end I leant this to a friend who has a non Philips Zigbee set up (think the LIdl sold hub, but don;t quote me) and his comment was it synced quickly and worked, however he has no need so it is back to me. I am keeping hold of this as I am considering replacing my Hue Hub with a Sonoff, INNR or Tuya one as I am feed up with the limitations of Hue.

Fairly good, although sensitivity not adjustable
I’m using this with a Sonoff Zigbee Gateway Dongle and Home Assistant running in Proxmox. Pairing was very easy,It works fairly well – it detects reliably, it notifies of motion quickly. The lux sensor readings were a bonus I wasn’t expecting so that’s pretty cool too. It’s sending from the ground floor and the signal is being received on the 2nd floor (pretty much straight up) which is decent as well. Complaints would be that once it has detected motion, it takes a fair amount of time to send the signal that motion is cleared (long after motion has ceased). The time varies, but the fastest i’ve seen it do so is about 30 seconds after motion has ended.The listing states “PET-FRIENDLY & CUSTOMISABLE SETTINGS: Avoid false alarms from pets – adjust the LED indicator and motion sensitivity to suit your space; perfect for busy homes with animals or changing activity levels.”There is nothing in the instructions about how to adjust sensitivity or the LED indicator, and there is nothing obvious on the unit itself on how to do this.As for Pet friendly, the only reference in the instructions is “If you have pets, it is best to point the sensor slightly upwards”….yea that’s not an acceptable method to claim it’s “pet friendly”.

Good with Home Assistant
This is a compact little Zigbee motion sensor which of course needs a gateway of some description to function. I have this connected to Home Assistant using Zigbee2MQTT and it was found immediately and seems to be working reliably and triggers nice and fast. Iâm yet to determine how good battery life is but as it is using Zigbee 3.0 I expect it to be very similar to other devices I own.Priced at £13 at time of review this is good value.

Tiny and useful
This is a surprisingly tiny little motion sensor but it works great. I have connected it to my Home Assistant server via a SkyConnect USB dongle and it was recognised quickly and works fine. I use it in the hallway to turn the hall lights on when there’s movement and it works flawlessly.It’s easy to set up and install, I used the included 3M adhesive and, since it’s so light, that holds it solidly. It’s very good for the price (assuming you already have a hub or dongle to detect and connect to it). Good product.

Great too to add automation to your home!This motion sensor is easy to apply, has a great battery life and it’s really sticky, hard to remove. The size is extremely compact, hard to notice, and it is sturdy and resistant.Easy to set up through the app as well.
