Excellent buy
The system/ printer management/ interface are not easy or user friendly at all but the quality is good. The seller was fenomenal. Great service, delivery before the expected time and the level of service and customer focus I haven’t seen for decades. Really worth buying from them

Excellent printer provided you know what youâre doing!
Delivery was super-quick and the printer arrived in perfect condition. We purchased the printer for occasional, but high quality home use as we had problems with ink drying out in our previous inkjet printer .The quality of the prints, copies and scans is excellent and photos are perfectly acceptable for everyday. My reason for only four stars is that, not being a computer buff, I struggled with setting up RUI / Manager / User profiles as I wasnât sure what was necessary. The printer prints from my iPhone and MacBook Air but itâs a bit hit and miss and I have to reconnect to the Wi-Fi from time to time. Iâm sure this is user incompetence rather than any fault in the machine. I have tried to use the user guide, but menus do not always match what I should find according to the guide. So, other than the slight proviso that you need to be reasonably competent to set it up, Iâd thoroughly recommend the printer

A fine home office printer
This is an excellent printer. It was easy to install and the print quality is everything I could hope for. Perfect for the home office.

Good printer
A great printer and much, much cheaper to run than an inkjet particularly if youâre not using it every day (ink tends to dry out)

coated paper drama
Great printer, easy to install.1 star is because there’s no official supported coated paper from Canon that you can use with laser printers

Doesn’t scan double sided
Very disappointed. Bought this because advert says ‘single-pass double-sided scanning’This printer CANNOT perform double-sided scanning.

Not for small home/ office users.
Bought this to replace my old printer as a home office printer . I received this earlier in the week but am still waiting to set it up.. There was a thick setup manual in multiple languages and only 4 of them in English. It tells you basic unpacking steps and that’s it. There is no initial user guide paper guide provided. It doesn’t tell you install this and that in this order. They expect you to know it. There was a CD – yes a CD and power cables the UK compatible one is a the bottom of the box.I expected to be able to install drivers and download manuals without any issue but I was wrong. The Canon drivers page was unfriendly and I was unable to download a user manual for Windows as the page was throwing out error messages when I clicked load more. There is an online manual in old style Web page format which to me was difficult to navigate. The user guide language is also unfriendly and written either by an IT technician or translated from another language as it sounds like it’s been written in the 80s. The instructions try to guide you through a set up process but jump around a lot and doesn’t explain terms. E.g. the guide refers to some UI app for security but doesn’t tell you how to get it or install it, nor does it explain the function. It says you need to secure the machine from unauthorised use and provides some steps including adding a managers ID but doesn’t tell you what format it needs to be – letters or words or both.I have had to abandon set up as I had to email support (that was another mission to find an email address, theres only phone numbers, which is no good to at midnight on a Friday) to request a copy of the manual as like most recent laptops mine doesn’t have a CD drive so unable to see what’s on the CD. So far I am not impressed by Canon. For such a huge established company it’s very unfriendly and not customer focused at all. Not sure I will be able to use it as setup seems convoluted.
