SD TF Card Reader, 2 in 1 USB 3.0 Memory Card Reader
Handy card reader for memory cards. Best benefit it that you can use both at the same time. Speed depends on your card. Build quality ok made from plastic the TF card slot is not protected. Performs exactly as expected and very handy to have at home. The hole for keychain is very small. Thank you.

Pretty good Card Reader. I run a camera club, and this has been flawless in letting me get everyones photos off their memory cards and onto the main computer to edit.It’s compact and has the traditional USB A protecting arm that is meant to shield the male end from damage. Connectivity is good, with no drop outs of accidental disconnections when it’s touched. It ejects well when I’ve finished extracting photos.

fast file transfer
I was previously using an older one that was quite slow and would disconnect a lot, this card reader has made file transfer very smooth, fast and without interruptions.I also like that it is quite compact in size and doesn’t take up much space in the tech drawer when not in use. You can transfer files from standard or micro SD cards.Another plus is that it has a built in USB A plug so you don’t need a cord to connect it.

WRite Speeds on the MicroSD card about 25% than read.
The ‘SD TF Card Reader, 2 in 1 USB 3.0 for SD, Micro SD’ arrived in a basic resealable bag.As I try to test all USB devices for read write performance, I did the same with this dual card reader, my testing and recording tool of choice is CrystalDiskMark 8 and the results pictures are included. Both SD and MicroSD cards were Sandisk Extreme Pro with 64GB for SD and 128GB for MicroSD. Both cards were formatted in exFAT.The results of the tests showed the read speeds of both cards within expectations when compared to my normal reader, however the write speeds were lower, with the SD only down a little, but the MicroSD down to 70MB/sI would be happy to use this reader for reading either card and possibly writing to the SD card, but not the MicroSD card as it to me is too slow. I may have to try the MicroSD card in a carrier in the SD slot, and see how well it performs then.

Well made with ability to convert to a USB stick
What I like most about this USB 3.0 memory car reader is that when used with a micro SD card it converts into a USB stick. A bit large than the smaller sticks but nice to handle with a cover that protects the micro car. The swinging cover protects the USB connection like many USB sticks. My laptop takes micro SD cards so it is convenient to be able to have the convenience and portability of using the card in the laptop as well as the flexility of a USB stick. I use 2 128 G micro cards one kept in the laptop and the other in the card reader as a USB stick. They can be switched easily so the back up is regularly checked and wear is reduced.The ability to also use a standard SD card at the same time is also useful especially when you have limited USB 3 sockets.I have not tested at full speed but had no issues with HD video and transfers are just as writing directly to a high speed card.

Now that Apple wants you to drop cameras and just use an iPhone, SD card slots are disappearing on modern laptops. I got this device to let me transfer images from my Lumix camera’s SDHC cards to a Macbook.My device worked perfectly first time – speed of transfer for several GB of images yesterday was quick – with no corrupted files.After use this folds up and fits easily into my camera bag – which is a neat trick.Downsides?[1] It is made mainly of plastic so keep safe[2] I have now used this for 7 transfers from 3 different SD and SDHC cards; 3/7 times it needed the SD card taking out and putting back to be recognised, so just be careful to get a good connection. Once fully recognised – transfers are quick and accurate. I have a much bigger, heavy and metal SD card reader that doesn’t need second goes ever – but it won’t take the micro SD cards and certainly won’t fold up and fit in a camera bag as this one does.I’m mostly happy and would be happy to get this again. If the difficult connection worsens I’ll be back to report more.
