I already had the RING doorbell, but wanted to add some additional security for the front and back of our house. I’ve bought refurbished items from Amazon before, which is a great way to save some money. These arrived and they were perfect. No damage or marks of any kind to the cameras or the boxes that they came in, and you would have never have known that they were refurbished.They have been up and operating for months now and have not faltered once. They are set-up exactly the same as the doorbell, and have the same features. If you have multiple RING devices, you have to upgrade your subscription, which is quiet expensive, but does offer some great features. The camera can be integrated with Alexa, like the doorbell, and you can set-up one product to trigger the other. I currently have a camera and the doorbell at the front of the house, and which ever one detects something, it triggers the other one to start recording.

Poor customer service from Ring
Purchased refurbished ring spotlight cam, to go along with my door bell.Bell set up correctly with no problems.Camera failed due to one problem, not the hardware but the failure of QC either at Amazon or Ring.Each unit from ring has a QR barcode with a five digit pin underneath for set up, but the codes on the refurbished product is so small it is impossible to scan it.On closer inspection itâs not even printed correctly and omits the 5 digit code needed to complete setup.Contacted Ring customer services who just kept telling me to scan a code or input the 5 digit pin during setup.After extensive explanation for nearly an hour he finally asked for me to photograph the bar code on the device and sent it to him.Eventually he said hi that wonât work is there another code in the box? (Obviously not otherwise I would have scanned that one instead)This is the second camera to be sent out as the first had the exact same issue.Nothing wrong with the actual hardware as both cameras although refurbished looked brand new.But I think QC definitely needs improvement along with poor customer service from ring.So I canât quote on how the product works because I simply canât connect it to my network or ring app, but overall the quality seems very good.Anyway returning 2 x cameras to Amazon for a full refund.

Peace of mind
Purchased last minute before going on holiday. Easy to install and set up. Robust build and quality. Camera gives good pictures day and night. Motion detection works and lights are strong enough but donât expect flood lights.

QR code is hard to find.
Itâs a clever way of hiding the QR code behind the slide off panel. Iâm sure this has been done to stop someone from just opening the battery compartment and trying to use the QR code themselves.It should be made easier to find the QR code when trying to set it up.

Better than expected the lights are very bright. Very easy to fit, fantastic quality picture at a great price. Had to look online as to where the qr code for install if you take the battery panel off then slide of the wall bracket you will find it. Itâs highly unlikely amazon would sell a fake ring camera as they own the ring brand that would be like Apple selling fake iPhones lol

Für diesen Preis ist das die beste Kamera die ich bis jetzt gesehen habe. Da meine alte Kamera, die fast 4 mal so teuer war wie die neue Ring Kamera und nach 5 Jahren den Geist aufgegeben hat, durch die Ring Kamera ersetzt. Die neue Ring Kamera hat ein gestochen scharfes Bild und erkennt Bewegungen bis in die entfernteste Ecke.

Ich hab bereits eine Klingel von Ring. Diese hat sich mehr als bezahlt. Ich konnte mit meinem Handwerker aus dem Urlaub heraus kommunizieren. Ich hatte schon lange mit einer Kamera geliebäugelt. Auch hier ein klare Empfehlung. Schnell eingerichtet. Das Licht der Kamera ist ein Super Benefit, dies macht richtig hell. Und die Kamera selbst hat einen Super Weitwinkel.Ich sehe meine ganze Rückseite unseres Geländes. Meine beiden Garagen und den Zugang zum Gartenbereich. Für mich Klasse ist zu sehen, das man zwei Akkus einlegen kann. Es wird zwar nur einer mitgeliefert, kann aber mit zweien betrieben werden. Das schöne ist das die Kamera auch dann läuft, wenn einer aufgebraucht sein sollte. Zur Laufzeit kann ich noch nicht viel sagen.Man kann den zu erfassenden Bereich und Empfindlichkeit genau abzubilden. Dazu bietet die App die Möglichkeit, den genau zu überwachenden Bereich zu erfassen. Man kann trotzdem jederzeit den kompletten Bereich sehen. Ich möchte einfach nur den Bereich um den Eingang kontrollieren. Für die gebotene Qualität unschlagbar. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen und jedem weiterempfehlen.Fazit:Leicht zu installierenSehr gut zu konfigurierenSehr gutes Bild auch bei DunkelheitDas zusätzliche Licht ist ideal

Nach einem Monat ist die Testversion abgelaufen und man kann nur Live Videos sehen, 3,99 für ein Gerät im Monat. Sehr teuer! Hätte ich das vorher gewusst, dann hätte ich das nie gekauft.
