Very good but no adhesive tape
Just received these and they are working straightaway. They are good for security and for opening doors when it’s dark outside. There’s 3 modes and I’ve got them both as just coming on when there’s movement, but there are other settings if you want the light to be on all night. Delivery and communication was very good. I would have given 5 stars but it was supposed to come with an adhesive tape, but it didn’t.

Iâve been using the CLAONER 149 LED solar lights for a few weeks now, and Iâm honestly impressed. I installed them on my rear garden fence and near the garage. Theyâve made a noticeable difference in visibility and security at night.Pros:Super bright:These things pack a punch! The 149 LEDs provide strong, even lighting that easily covers my yard and driveway.Wide angle coverage:The 270° illumination really helps eliminate dark corners. I noticed fewer shadows compared to my old lights.Motion sensor is responsive:Picks up movement from a good distance â probably around 15-20 feet. Itâs sensitive enough without being too jumpy.Solar-powered convenience:No wiring needed, which made installation a breeze. I let them charge fully for a day before turning them on, and theyâve worked well since.Weather resistant:We had a couple rainy days, and they held up fine. The IP65 waterproof rating seems legit.Cons:Plastic build feels light:It doesnât feel flimsy, but you can tell itâs not heavy-duty. That said, no issues so far with durability.Battery life in low sunlight:On cloudy days, the lights donât stay on as long, especially if you use the continuous low light mode. I have owned many of this type of solar motion lights.This 2-pack is relatively small at just 4.25″ width.It has a lot of LEDs, but it does not mean more LEDs = brighter.Mounting screws are provided.Operating options: 1. Always on, 2, dim, turns bright when motion detected, 3. off, turns bright when motion detected.The high brightness is quite good for a solar motion light this small, and it stays on for 30 seconds.There is a drawback with this wedge design.The solar light works best when installed on South-facing wall or surface.It receives the most amount of light during the day and produces longer illumination at dark.West and East facing wall are second best, and North facing wall is the worst placement.When daytime gets shorter, the light’s solar panel gets lesser sunlight, and charges the battery less.I prefer the solar motion lights with adjustable solar panel that can always be angle toward the South.However, this 2-pac lights are ok for my South and East facing walls for now.

As the title implies, these are well made and function as advertised. Their brightness for their size is solid. These will not however likely replace standard outdoor lights. You aren’t going to be able to light your deck up like artificial daylight with these, but they will keep you from tripping over things. The motion sensors seem to work well and the battery live and solar charge capabilities feel solid. These are a good value for the price, just don’t expect too much of them. They were very easy to set up.

I was pleasantly surprised after testing these lights and will be looking to get more.Reminder – this light is good at what it is designed to do (cast light when it senses motion either to illuminate what tripped the sensor or to help someone see their environment to avoid an accident). It isnât a light that you should be using outside to help you see while using sharp objects and need bright daylight level light for fine motor/dexterity tasksâ¦.which is something you shouldnât be doing haha.*The double sided adhesive was not included which was slightly disappointing because the product page describes it being includedPictures for reference:Picture 1 – product box (front)Picture 2 – product box contents: two solar light panels, wall hanging accessories, product manual, but didnât include the â3M adhesive tape patchesâ that are said to be âincludedâ in the product manual.Picture 3 – The light on in dark room at 7 feet above the floor (mode 3 after sensing light). The light it cast easily hit the floor and illuminated the entire room and will definitely provide a good amount of light outside and depending on the height could easily cast light out between 15-20 ft from where itâs mounted.Positives:1 – Small/sleek design – doesnât stick out/cause an eye sore.2 – Brightness – they are surprisingly strong lights for their size.3 – Weather/elements proof – IP65 water proof rating (good to handle rain) and shows that it has a wide temperature operating range4 – Motion sensing range – from some tests in different areas/heights around my house I would say the reliable motion sensing distance is about 20ft away which is still pretty great.5 – warranty – there is a 2 year warranty on the lights (captured in the product manual and product description) and expected support response time of 1 working day (meaning Mon-Fri) which is pretty good.*oh, and I almost forgot, the sun charges it for you!!!!Opportunities:1 – There is no easy âbackup optionâ (likely linked to it having an IP65 waterproof rating) to charge the light in case you donât get enough solar energy captured (for whatever reason)Things to keep in mind when reading my review:I am in zone 3 for solar radiation. My primary use case will be mode 3 (off with no movement and on when there is movement + little delay) and after multiple days/night with a rainy/grey day in the test period there were no issues with these lights running out of power on mode 3. I did however use mode 2 for multiple days/nights and then mode 1 for one day/night to test its limits and it never lost power.Final thoughts and other observations:If you live in solar zones 2, 3, 4, or 5 (more details below) these little solar lights are great and for the current cost ~ $6.50 each in the 2 pack and an even better price per unit in the pack of 6, you will be glad you got them.*If you live in a solar radiation zone of 4 or 5 then you will likely never run into an issue no matter what weather you are experiencing or mode you want to set for your lights.*If you live in a solar radiation zone of 3 you should be good to go and will enjoy this motion triggered solar light with modes 2 and 3 on any day/night and even mode 1 on most days.*If you live in the zone 2 solar radiation zone and only would be looking to set the light to âmode 3â for the winter months and mode 2 or 3 for the late spring through early fall months.If you live in zone 1 solar radiation zone then you might want to look for something else that would be more reliable throughout the year and not just a part of it? Up to you reallyâ¦

These are not the brightest or best solar lights I have used but they are pretty decent. I have them in an area that doesn’t get a ton of direct sunlight and on a cloudy day it will stop them from working until they can get a good charge again.The brightness is acceptable for the small stairs area I am lighting up. Any larger of an area and I would personally look for something larger.Overall good value for the low cost and would say they should suit most needs of small un obtrusive areas that need lit.
