Works fine for our 4g/5g wifi router
Bought it to let us run our TP-Link router directly from the leisure batteries instead of running the inverter to produce 240vac and then dropping it right back to 12vdc with the router wall wart. Connected 12vdc from the batteries to the input and cut and spliced the router power cable to the output. Just make sure you have the polarity right! Working fine after several weeks.

Does what it says it does
Wanted this for a camper van project and it does what it says. Puts out a steady 12v which was what was needed

Seemingly sturdy construction, mounting holes let it down.
We wanted to have an Amazon Echo Show in our Motorhome and although it is a 12v device, many domestic 12v units don’t live long on vehicle 12v which can often be as high as 14.4v with the odd spike. The Show may have regulating chips inside but rather than risk it being destroyed we bought this stabilised supply. The output was connected to an Amazon 5m extension cable and the mains supply dispensed with. It has been working well for a Week or more so no reason to suppose it won’t continue. The reason for the four stars was that although the heat sink casing is heavy duty the two mounting holes are too far inboard. The holes will accept M5 screws but they are so close to the body that the heads jam long before they reach the flange. The only solution I found was to cut the sides of the holes out to create ‘forks’ which allowed M5 screws to just grip the flange.

Works well
Simple and does the job! Ended up buying more than one to regulate the charging/float voltage in my campervan to 12v for voltage sensitive accessories.

Not recommended for strict voltage
Although the output was 12volts wasnt rectified so when ignition on voltage was unstable,

Works fine!
This product is small and quite robust. I have used it for powering my WiFi router and modem on my boat. Both units have performed well using this device

Perfect
Very simple to fit and works as intended.

broke after 10 mins
Maybe i was unlucky, but mine stopped working after 10 mins of use. I was using it between a car battery and an inverter to make sure the inverter is never overloaded (as it has done before when my solar panel is charging the car battery and it becomes full. Then the voltage can go higher and i needed this kind of stabiliser unit to solve that)

Came exceptionally quick. Not used it yet but appears to be good quality

I wired this in over the weekend without taking it apart first. Iâm using it for suspension/rock lighting (x11 3-led modules 12v .250mA). x4 come on at door open & the rest on switch. I donât care if it shorts out & blows my lights, they cost me $6 to replace.I wired a direct feed from an aux fuse panel that I put in that read 14.2vDC with engine idle. I grounded both leads & body to chassis & gave it a 5A fuse. The tested output is 18awg at 10â & with x4 LEDs powered, It showed 12.20vDC at 1A at the LEDs & the same at the regulator with no load. At idle with no load, this module showed .001A for a moment then nothing. I couldnât find it in mA or uA.I decided to leave it wired direct to observe the draw and because my 95 Chevy truck is negative pulsed interior lighting with positive ground. I made it a relay activated output & I have the rocklights activate on domelight trigger for door locking/unlocking.Note: If you do this type of lighting, keep in mind the negative trigger floats a positive voltage when not activated due to the lighting control module under the dash so keep the coil circuit dedicated to minimize load/shorting/abnormal pathways to battery through the control module.I did accidentally send my rigids through the module for a brief moment & the drain of x2 dually driving pods, sent it to 6.5A for a second with no issues. Iâve noticed no heat buildup on thermal at 1A nominal & 2.5A occasional.I do have a slightly weaker fm station thatâs in stereo maybe 70% of the time. When this is running under the hood (1A continuous draw), it takes the station out of stereo & gives me enough static to not be able to hear it. Closer antennas are not effected. Later I plan to try a capacitor, choke or diode combinations to attempt to remove the interference. Iâve not put it on the scope cause again, I donât care about outcome in this project.
