Cheap mic, as good as some of the more expensive ones!
Bought this microphone after my microphone decided it just simply did not want to record anymore. After much thought and watching the pennies, this is the mic I landed on. So here goes, I did a basic test in the office and on the streets and had some good results.The windscreen foam thingy well in the office and just generally inside the house. It managed to cut out a lot of the background noise, and just generally worked well. The wind muff (also known as a dead cat) which is the furry mic cover is best for windy environments. I used this a number of times outdoors and the sound came out well. The only time it was not great was in high wind situations. At that point, I was thinking a larger wind muff would have been better. But I doubt a more expensive mic would have managed the sound any better. Inbetween gusts, the sound is clear and you do some of the surrounding noise, not all of it.They provide you with a second cable where you can link the mic with your mobile phone, thus giving you GREAT sound quality on when making videos on your mobile. The only problem with that is that you do not have any way of attaching the mic to the mobile device. I guess you hold the mic? I have not needed it, but I can see it coming into use when you really cannot be bothered to take out the DSLR. You should also be able to use a longer cable to link it up, thus allowing you to hold it closer to your mouth, or using it interview style if need be. I will need to test that out, but I see no reason why it would not work, as this is using a standard 3.5mm plug on both ends.The hard case they provide is very nice. It fits everything neatly inside, it’s not too big, although if they reduced the foam padding a little, I think they could have made it smaller.I have attached a video where I start off with an unboxing using the onboard camera microphone, and then I move over to the Comica, and you can hear the difference. My videos should get better with this. Now I just need a new lens….

Amazing little microphone that produces great sound quality
This is such a discreet little microphone that slots on top of your camera in the shoe mount but it transforms your in camera audio to something you can actually use. If you are reading this it means you arenât happy with your in camera audio and I can honestly say this microphone will give you great results with a bit of tweaking in post production.I do a lot of sit down videos for my YouTube channel and I have been relying on my cameras in-built mic for way too long. As well as sit down videos I also create a lot of cinematic style videos and often capture ambient noises etc, to add to my videos. The sound you get from in the camera is not good at all, but when out in the field, with the included wind muff, I have been able to get some brilliant results.I am using the Comica CVM-VM10II with my Sony A6500 and its a huge improvement over the cameras internal mic, but thats no surprise.The microphone itself is very small, and with the included cable, plugs directly into the side of my camera. The plastic support which the mic mounts to so far has proved strong and sturdy even when applying stress to it to slot the mic on.Iâm not very clued up on audio but this mic is a cardioid mic which means that its a directional mic which picks up the sound directly in front of it without capturing too much noise around you. There is no on off switch, the power comes from your camera, so all you do is plug it in and get recording.The other great feature about this mic is that it works with your smartphone too, with the other included cable.Provided in the box is:- Microphone- Windscreen- Dead cat- DSLR cable- Smartphone cable- Camera mount bracket- Carry case- User manualAll in all, if you are looking to upgrade your audio from the cameras built in microphone, you will not be disappointed with the Comica CVM-VM10II, it provides excellent quality audio for your videos.

The Mic is pretty compact so won’t feel too bulky or come in …
This is a quality peice of kit that does help improve sound quality of videos being shot from DSLR cameras and Mobile Phones. The Mic is pretty compact so won’t feel too bulky or come in the way on top of a DSLR, it is moutable on a hot shoe mount so should fit on the top of most DSLR cameras. Fits my Nikon DSLR very well, i have a D3400 however but did not notice it does not have an External Micrphone Input support, other versions of Nikon camera’s do as do most Canon DSLR. So just be careful when buying for a DSLR to ensure you camera has an external Mic Input.Nonetheless, this works perfectly with my Samsung Note 8 Mobile Phone. When this external Microphone is attached and you go into the default app to take a video the phone confirms that sound will be recorded via the attached Microphone.Comparing sound recorded from this Microphone to that record directly from the phone, i must say with his Microphone sound is richer ad clearer. Plus you have the ability to have the microphone closer to the source you are filming with the flexible lead. Ive have uploaded a video – the first 50 seconds of the Music was recorded using the phones Microphone and then repeated but with the Microphone. Hearing the sound back sound was improved on the video with this Microphone, the closer to the source of sound the better it was. The Microphone does pick up a greater level of sound, and i my recorded videos the sound was louder however there was a result more static via the Microphone since its more sensitive to the sound produced.Very impressed with the build and general good quality of all the accesories.The ear muffs are very good quality, if you record people they do have a grey interview Mic Earmuff. There are 2 audio connection leads, its great they labled them as one is for a Mobile phones (3 black stripe – grey connector) and the other meant for cameras. The camera, and ear muffs as well as the stand have there own padded sections in a Hard Case that is also provided to caryy your suff. There is a internal mesh pocket where the audio cables manual can be kept.Happy with the product from my expeirience it has helped improve the sound qiality from videos i make

Je n’ai pas été déçu, car tout est parfait, il contient tous les éléments, et semble parfaitement fonctionner, content d’être livré dans les délais. En revanche, j’ai un smartphone android, je n’arrive pas à l’utiliser. Que signifie ” l’application vidéo de la 3ème partie ” ?Sur un Iphone, c’est juste parfait !

Ich habe das Mikrofon COMICA CVM-VM10II jetzt seit einer Woche getestet und möchte euch meine Einschätzung mitteilen:Das Mikrofon ist sehr gut verarbeitet und es braucht den Vergleich mit dem Rode VMMICRO VideoMicro nicht zu scheuen â im Gegenteil, ich finde es sogar etwas besser. Getestet habe ich das Mikrofon einmal an meiner digitalen Kamera, an der Canon M6 und weiterhin an meinem Aufnahmegerät, dem Zoom H1.Lieferumfang:Das Mikrofon COMICA CVM-VM10II wurde in einer stabilen und praktischen Hülle geliefert, in der man es gut aufbewahren kann und auch das Zubehör sicher verstaut ist. Neben dem Mikrofon erhaltet ihr zwei Anschlusskabel (Smartphone- und Kamera-Audiokabel), einen Schaumstoff-Windschutz, einen Fell-Windschutz, eine Mikrofon-Befestigung für die DSLR- oder Video-Kamera und eine entsprechende Bedienungsanleitung in chinesischer und englischer Sprache. Beide Mikrofone liegen preislich im gleichen Bereich, aber beim Mikrofon COMICA CVM-VM10II ist der Umfang des Zubehörs um einiges gröÃer und somit spart man am Ende.Qualität der Verarbeitung:Das Mikrofon und alle Zubehörteile sind sehr hochwertig verarbeitet. Konkret bedeutet dies, dass bei gleichen Aufnahmebedingungen das Mikrofon COMICA CVM-VM10II empfindlicher reagiert, d.h. die Aufnahmen mit dem Mikrofon zeigen sich wahrnehmbar lauter und klarer/deutlicher. Beide Mikrofone besitzen von Haus aus ein sehr niedriges Grundrauschen, das nicht wahrnehmbar ist. Da ich alle meine Soundaufnahmen in Adobe Audition nachbearbeite, erhalte ich durch das COMICA CVM-VM10II ein sehr gutes und hochwertiges Ausgangsmaterial, das ich anschlieÃend sehr leicht und schnell zum für mich perfekten Sound editieren kann.Fazit:Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Mikrofon und würde es jederzeit nochmals kaufen.

Wer bei Videoaufnahmen einen besseren Sound haben möchte, kommt um ein externes Mikrofon nicht herum. Das Comica CVM-CM10II eignet sich zum einen perfekt um das externe Mikrofon am Smartphone bzw. Handy (z.B. iPhone) anzuschlieÃen, zum anderen aber auch als externes Mikrofon für eine DSLR oder Systemkamera. In dem Lieferumfang sind zwei verschiedene Kabel enthalten. Zum einen eine Variante mit 3,5mm TRRS Stecker für die Verwendung an Smartphones, zum anderen mit einer TRS Belegung, um das Mikrofon an einer Kamera betreiben zu können. Das Mic wird ohne Batterie betrieben und besteht zu 100% aus Aluminium. Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist auÃerordentlich gut. Ebenfalls im Lieferumfang enthalten ist ein Popp-Schutz und ein Windschutz. Das Mikrofon wird durch einen Blitzschuhadapter mit Schockabsorberfunktion (funktioniert ordentlich) auf der Kamera oder einem Smartphone Halter mit Blitzschuh montiert. Als Mikrofonkapsel kommt eine “Nierencharacteristik” zum Einsatz. Das Signal wird also sehr gut isoliert und es werden wenig Störgeräusche mit aufgenommen.
