4 and 1/2
This is a good fan far better than the ergo stand w which I had previously. It has a single large fan that produces a good airflow. The two struts that keep the laptop from sliding when the fan is angled are nice and sturdy however I would prefer the same ones as the ergo stand 2. Just my preference. The laptop is easy to set up and the cable organiser is really hand as I have a few hardrives and mouse that I connect so it keeps them tidy. The fan is very easy to clean with the ability to take the mesh plate of easily. The stand itself is just large enough for my 15.6” laptop with milimeters spare on either side. The power toggle on the cooler is a better design than previously and all of the connections are sturdy. The fan itself is silent and produces good airflow as stated earlier but I would like one slightly more powerful if possible. The only complaint I have is that the fan seems too close to the front of the device meaning that the bottom of my laptop and some open space is being cooled. Most of the vents for my laptop are at the rear.

Nerly perfect, but not quite.
Over all this is a very good cooling pad, but there are a few minor issues that prevent it from being perfect.I liked:the styling is very nicethe grippy feet are very good – it’s hard to slide the pad on the desktopthe fans are quitethe fan control is a great additionNO BRIGHT LEDS!!!!!! wowHandy cable managerI dislikedthe length and positioning of the little feet that stick up to hold the laptop in place are poorly considered:1) for no good reason the feet are set unreasonable far away from the lower edge of the pad which means that when the laptop is resting on them there is a lot of wasted space between where the bottom edge the laptop is and the bottom edge of the pad (see the top part of the image). This means that when the cooling fan is running, the lower part of it just blows out passed the laptop and hits you in the face – it’s dry contact lens city! This also means that my laptop hangs off of the edge at the top of the pad, the area that needs cooling post as that’s often there the CPU and GPU are located.2) the feet don’t quite come up high enough for my laptop – they do hold it in place but I’m constantly worried about it slipping off. (please see the bottom part of the image). Now, I know that I do have an unusually thick laptop and that it has quite a high and thin front edge, but it’s just a little shorter than I would have liked it to be – another cooling pa I have as just a few mm more height in the feet and this results in a much more secure fit.it comes with a micro-USB port for mains power, but not cable is provided

The swiss army knife of laptop trays.
To the untrained eye the £35 pricetag might seem excessive for what is a just a gizmo. However the ergostand iii is certainly worth it.Laptops biggest enemy of heat buildup can be a slow killer to performance both in real time as well long term if this becomes a regular enough occurance. The ergo stand iii fan is USB powered directly from your laptop or a seperate USB plug if you have a spare and cools suficiently well to ensure bliss for your laptop. The fan is also inaudiable except putting your ear against it and features a speed dial for if it is doing too good a job so as to give you chilly fingers.Positioning wise the stand whilst flat will raise your device just under 2 inches whilst flat and adjusts variably up to a 45 degree angle. This greatly improves viewing angles to avoid staining the angle of your back and neck if you have a slouching tendancy. If you tend to type from standing the accented incline of the keyboard becomes far Less tedious and stressfull overall.Lastly the stand incorporates cable management and a 4 port USB hub. Something highly useful if you have a seperate keyboard, mouse, monitor, sound system and multiple external drives like myself this week after my desktop rig bit the dust. The real value in the ergostand iii is the stress relief it will lift away from you knowing you can walk in home, place your laptop/device on the stand, only have to plug in a few neat cables and play a game without the worry of your device dying on you is golden. Its study safe supporting upto 17″ devices and gives power with the extra clutter and restraints that comes with it.Its a very worthwhile £35 to spend

Works, but not terribly impressive
So it elevates my laptop, decently sturdy, there’s a big fan which is silent. My laptop fan still works overtime when gaming, the laptop is stopped from sliding off by two “legs” that rotate out of the platform – these are a little uncomfortable to work around and they slip back into their grooves occasionally when I place my palms on my laptop especially to type and then my laptop slides and I have to readjust it. Uses and outdated USB charging port. Not terribly unhappy with it… Not sure if I would buy it again.

Very good product
Very good product. The USB hub works great, I use it for all my wireless peripheral because itâs only 2.0 so I donât see it a downside because I have other USB hubs for 3.1 and 3.0 speeds. The fan is big and pretty much quite because most laptop fans will overcome the 200mm fan. But be careful at maximum RPM of the fan because in some configuration of height can introduce vibration that can be seen in the screen. The build quality is good, not ultra premium but ok. The cooling pad is absolutely a must for my Asus Zenbook Pro Duo because the laptop has 2 screens and it needs to be help as high as possible at maximum openness of the lid to see them at good angle.

For the moment, I can only complain about the misleading description: it says âaluminum and metalâ, but you can clearly see in the photos that there is no aluminum and metal, only aluminum and plastic.Later edit: not cooling at all, the fan speed is not controllable.

Ainda a recomendo, apesar do aumento no preço. Caso esteja na dúvida entre modelos, sugiro, no mais, é que se preste atenção se o seus cabos são destacáveis. Isso aumentará muito mais a vida útil do equipamento.

Money well spent. Top Quality product; the metal and plastic used feels very good and sturdy. The fan rpm is standard though i felt like it could have been better for this price, but it does its job well even at this rpm due to the huge fan. Nonetheless, I feel like it deserves 5 star.

Lo recomiendo, pensaba que iba a ser = que el que tenÃa incluso con menor RPM refrigera más

Came in fast from Austria (1 week), works as advertised. My laptop feels cooler under load and those extra USB port are useful!
