VERY AVERAGE SOUND…BUT GOOD ENOUGH FOR SOME BASIC INTERVIEW SETTING
I’ve tested this mic against built in microphone in my huawei p30 pro, and zoom H4N.Of course It’s hard to compare it to Zoom H4N, but i didn’t expect the sound quality of huawei built in microphones to be so good. With regards to this lapel mic, all i can say the sound quality is average. Don’t expect anything fancy…I wish i had Rode lapel might to compare them side by side. But as for this mic, it is usable, but the sound quality is just ok. I’ll keep it as a back up if i ever need to plug someone to the mic.

Fantastic Item for Samsung S20 Ultra
I bought this item as another with a USB C type connector didn’t work with my phone.This one is fantastic so now when I vlog I can use this as an external microphone.While it didn’t come with a deadcat I used the one that came with my other Lavalier mic and it works great.I highly recommend for anyone recording with a samsung S20 Ultra.

It broke after one use
I was unhappy to begin with as it doesn’t work with any apps I had on my phone. I had to download a third party camera app, which was a little annoying but a only a mild inconvenience.After just one use, however, it never worked again. Not worth it at all.

It’s great but..
I bought this product specifically to record my voice to add over videos I create on my ipad. Unfortunately it doesn’t work with my ipad, so I have to now record my voice on my phone, then transfer it over between devices. It works perfectly on my phone, no problems there, just wish it worked directly on the device I purchased for

Pleased to say it gives good audio plugged directly into DJI Action 3 USB-C port, try 15db gain as a start point.Not noticing aggressive noise cancelling either as happens with some microphones

The mic works well, I can see a very clear increase in sound quality when I use it. However most android apps, including the default camera and recorder on my Pixel 2XL, just ignore the external mic and use the internal one. OpenCamera is a good free app, where if you go into Settings -> Video you can select an option for it to use an external microphone. Once I did this my videos had great audio. Another one that works is Cinema FV5, but the free version seemed a bit more clanky than Open Camera in the two minutes that I used it.

I purchased this because my tiktoks we’re not catching my voice clearly. This fixed the problem and hooks up well to my iPad pro.
