The child lock must be pressed DOWN button for 5seconds,this is in order to avoid misoperation and when LCD is dark, first press DOWN button only light the green backlight,so we need to press DOWN button for twice.Because the temperature probe is inside of remote control, so the temperature is a little different with real temperature, about ±1℃.After setting program, we must activate the program,Press SET button, and choose ON,then there will be a symbol P display near to time, this means the preset program is activated.The child lock will take 3secs to respond, but when LCD is dark, need firstly press any button to light green backlight, then press buttons to respond its function.When remote control work for 10minutes, the child lock will be activated automatically, all the buttons will be freeze expect DOWN button, this is in order to avoid some children misoperate this remote control, we have to press DOWN button for 5 seconds to unlock then all the buttons can work again.

Once you understand it, it’s easy and it works
Great little remote/plug that works fine for setting different target temperatures for different times of day. With one caveat! (and if you’re struggling to figure out why it’s not heating to the temp you set, this is probably why).Setup your time periods and target temps using the instructions in the booklet. Follow VERY carefully (it’s not that hard) and be sure to SET your device to program mode when your done BUT…. it will not immediately switch to the current programmes target temperature!!!So, if you’re setting it up at midday lets say, and you set it to 20c between 9am and 5pm (for instance), then when you finish setting it up and switch to program mode (SET then ON until you see the P) it will NOT set your target temp to 20c until that program STARTS at 9am tomorrow. It needs to “tick” over at the start of a program to set the temp.When you finish setting it up at midday and set to programe mode, what will happen is it will remain on the ‘manual’ target temp until the next program start time. You will be able to adjust the manual temp to whatever you like using the up and down arrows UNTIL the next program clicks on, then that programs target temp will override the manual one (unless you do anything to take it out of programme mode again, in which case, back to the manual temp you go).This makes it slightly complicated to use the system “manually” if say, it’s switched off but you’d like it to stay on for a bit. You can turn program mode off and set the temp manually, but then when you switch program mode back on, it wont automaticaly revert to that programs target temp, so you’ll have to set it manually.One way around this is to press the power buton on the remote when you want to use it manually, then just switch the heater on at the plug. You will lose temperature control until you turn it back on though, which kind of defeats the object, if like me you then forget to switch the remote back on.A better work around is, when you’ve finished using manually and switch program mode back on, remember to set the target temp to something sensible that it will use until the next program kicks in.I hope this helps!

Works a Treat
I’ve been using this in my greenhouse with a 2Kw electric heater (of a suitable type for a greenhouse), the internal thermostat of which was very hit or miss, not least because it was warmed by the heater itself. The switch unit of the thermostat doesn’t have a suitable IP rating for a greenhouse, but can be used in one of the IP rated housings that are sold for outdoor Christmas lights. The sensor, being battery operated, can be placed near your most sensitive plants.I was initially concerned that the switch unit might miss a command from the sensor, resulting in the heater not operating and a lot of dead plants, but it appears that the sensor sends a command every few seconds, regardless of the switch status, so even if one or two commands are missed (e.g. due interference), the switch will still be operated in a relatively short time. In practice, it has worked without a hitch all through the winter, and an independent greenhouse max/min thermometer suggests the temperature has been maintained at a minimum very close to the set operating temperature (8 degrees C in my case). The sensor is still operating on its first set of batteries, but I would expect to put a new set in at the start of each winter for this application, rather than risk them failing in the middle of the night.The sensor clearly indicates current temperature and the set point, and seems quite happy with the high temperatures in the greenhouse on sunny days.I’m very pleased with this thermostat. As well as working properly, the sensor looks nice too. I can definitely recommend it.

Godd product as long as it works.
I bought it in january 2024 to control oil heater in my studio flat. I received the item on 13th Jan, it is now 15th Feb and the receiver stopped working rendering the device unusable. Sadly, there is no way to purchase additional receivers so the whole “one device controls multiple devices” is not really a correct advertisement as you cannot buy additional receivers. On top of that the device worked for only 32 days which is not the quality I expected.While the device was in working condition, it worked fine. It starts heating when temperature drops 1 degree below target temperature and it turns itself off as soon as the reading is on target temperature. The programming can be a bit confusing at the beginning, but it’s not a huge issue as long as you follow the manual.

UI is a bit weird but it does the job
Changing the current setpoint is a bit annoying: first you have to push any button to wake it up; then you have to hold the down arrow for several seconds to âunlockâ it; then you can finally start changing things. Thankfully I donât need to do that very often. Iâm very happy that this unit uses AA batteries and not AAA batteries â I havenât had to change them once yet, while the other remote I bought, which uses AAA batteries, has already gone through three cycles.

Still Going String after 3 years
Bought this April 2019 and still working as it should 3.5 years later – plugged into an oil-filled radiator in an outbuilding and keeps the temp perfectly. Only niggle is using the buttons, which are not intuitive and their purpose is easily forgotten when not used often. All the same, a useful and reliable piece of kit.
