neat little camera for casual shots
This compact camera is well suited for light photography or recording bits and pieces on the go. Itâs small enough to carry around and comes with handy features like zoom, flash, and autofocus. The 64GB card is a nice inclusion, and it works straight out of the box.Picture quality is fair for general use, and itâs simple enough for beginners or teens to get used to. The build feels decent for the price, and the anti-shake helps keep things steady. A tidy little gadget for anyone starting out or wanting something fuss-free.

Very robust feel, with a little tweaking can take reasonable photos!
In common with the other ‘beginner’ digital cameras I’ve played with, the Bextgoo camera is, if left in auto mode, pretty terrible in producing both photos & video, generally overexposed with even reasonable light (and not making a great job of low light either) and lacking in detail. (see first photo)Opening the menu and changing the exposure by -1 stop (on average) can make the difference between washed out and reasonable quality (see 2nd photo) The ‘autofocus’ seems to work well, taking around a second to turn the focus square green from red – ready to shoot.4K video, using the same exposure hack, is of mediocre quality, but not entirely dreadful, and would probably look OK viewed on a mobile phone. As a Vlogging camera, the Bextgoo is missing an essential – there is no way to see if one is ‘in shot’ as the screen is on the back, and does not flip out. Audio recording is a little low in volume, and of reasonable quality. The 3rd photo is taken on my own camera, as an illustration of actual tones of the subject. Illumination was a 40w LED panel set to 5600K.I’ve given 3 stars as the Bextgoo camera can produce useable output with a little tweaking, it is still far from what might be produced with a mobile phone, or budget ‘real’ camera, but, for its price, is not a total loss.

Excellent picture quality
Excellent picture quality. This is a great little starter camera. it takes surprisingly good pictures and videos. Feels well built and is good value for money.

not a bad camera but a little expensive
This is a nice compact digital camera, and I would say a good starter one.It has a nice design much like a traditional camera and is nice and light so kids can hold it steady and get used to taking digital photos with an actual camera rather than a phone. The rear has a large screen with easy-to-use buttons, and I found it very easy to get set up for taking decent photos. It only has a digital zoom which is OK, but I would recommend just moving closer. The images come out nice and clear with good colour reproduction and are good enough quality to print out or add to photo-books.Itâs got a good rechargeable battery in it and thatâs charged via the modern and universal USB-C port and supplied cable which means along with the wrist strap and supplied 64gb memory card you have everything to get started, although the card does fill up quick, so a bigger one is recommended.Overall, I think itâs a good little starter set but with a price point of £69.99 currently itâs just priced a little high for kidsâ cameras as others are less than £50 for much the same spec.

Digital camera
The camera design looks very gimmicky. It makes it look more like a toy camera than an actual one. The quality isn’t 4K, but it turned out better than I thought it would. The quality does get a lot worse after zooming in, but I guess that’s expected for a beginner camera that is targeted towards teens. At last, this comes with an SD card, which is already better than other cheap cameras. This would make sense if this were half of the 69.99 that is currently priced at.

Not a replacement for my phone camera
The Bextgoo digital camera arrives in a printed cardboard box – suitable for a gift.Printed on the box are the CE, FCC & RoHS marks confirming that this camera meets EU and USA conformity standards and is free of hazardous substances.I set the parameters by going through all the settings time, date, stamp focus etc. It was fiddly and took some time but not too much of a drag. After taking a few shots on focus and semi-automatic – I set it to automatic.I then used the digital camera to take a shot and then immediately used my pixel phone to take, as close as possible an identical shot. I have attached both – the digital camera is the first.I order this as I was intrigued as why, in a country where many have phones, try to sell a digital camera? With my pixel phone I take a shot – it goes automatically to my photoâs library (on phone and computer) and I can immediately share it with whom I wish. With the digital camera I take the shot, then have to remove the SD card, then use an adaptor to download the photo onto my computer, then download it into my photo library and the share it. I did all of this to test it but the photo was certainly not of sufficient quality to make this all worth while.I realise that this camera at £70.00 is priced less than a phone – but it only takes photographs and not high quality photos. The price tag and the setting are too high and complex for a child that is too young for a phone – and I certainly would not buy it at that price. Not sure what the market is for this device – but it is not for me.

Poor quality images.
Poor quality images. Child camera level better to get a cheap phone (and a stand for vlogging ).It has no consistency regarding what zoom it has. On the lens is nothing. In the instructions on the listing it says 12x optical, then later digital, on the box the camera came with it says 18 zoom but not if digital or optical. Judging by the lack of sharp images and how they get worse as you zoom it’s digital.

Great starter camera for kids and teens! My child loves using it for vlogs and pictures. Easy to use, clear 4K video, and comes with a 64GB card. The zoom and flash work well too. A fun, budget-friendly choice for young creators!

The Bextgoo digital camera appears to be a versatile option aimed squarely at beginners and teens looking to delve into vlogging and photography. With impressive 4K video resolution and 48MP for still photos, it promises high-quality image capture for its target audience. The inclusion of a 64GB card is a thoughtful touch, allowing users to start creating content right out of the box. Features like autofocus and anti-shake should help newcomers achieve clearer, more stable shots, making the learning curve gentler. Its compact, point-and-shoot design, complemented by a 12X digital zoom and built-in flash, suggests ease of use and portability for everyday adventures or capturing social media-worthy moments.

Nice size camera, super portable and light. Got it for my kid to take on a school camping trip. Used it for three days and the battery was still going strong. Really happy with it!

The camera is decent and a good value for the price but it lacks in overall build quality. It does shoot really nice and crisp photos and videos but the materials used feel subpar and very delicate. Most of the time there is some sort of action involved when using a camera of this nature and it makes me nervous. Great camera though to learn the basics without spending too much to get started.
