A little flimsy but works quite well once set up.
This slide/negative viewer is made from plastic and feels a little bit flimsy when set up, especially with a mobile phone on top. It takes a little bit of trial and error to get the phone in the right position with the correct level of zoom to frame the slide or negative properly, especially when using the PicScan app as it seems to be very sensitive to pinch-to-zoom.I found that using my phoneâs normal camera app in manual/pro mode made things much easier as I could lock the focus and had much better control over the zoom levels, although that did mean I had to export my scans to my PC to convert the negatives. The quality of the image depends on the quality of the phone camera, its optical zoom levels and the condition of the negatives or slides. Itâs a cost-effective solution for scanning old photos for uploading to a cloud drive but probably not for making high quality photo prints.

Excellent!
What a clever little gadget.I ordered this expecting it to be rubbish but was very surprised that it did such a great job of my dad’s old slides which I now have on my phone. Definitely would recommend it.

Easy to use
On the product sent to me there is a problem with the on/off switch, it does not work correctly. Other than that it is an easy way to transfer slide photos onto a digital system
AmazonReviewer –
Fantastic idea
This thing is great for making use of those old strips of developed film everyone has laying around.Set up is really simple and the frame works well to hold everything in the right position – though I do have a caveat here. This thing is clearly made on the cheap and is not the most stable of things which is a bit of a let down as that kind of a defining feature you want from a “frame”. My suggestion is to either enable voice activation for your camera, or hook up some kind of remote trigger for the camera as even the gentlest of touches can make this thing wobble at the worst possible moment. All that aside, this is a brilliant idea and perfect for quickly grabbing a digital picture straight from the negatives.

Well worth the money.
I ordered this to convert old film slides and negatives. I must admit it is brilliant. As long as you have a good quality camera on your iPhone or android, then you will have a great quality picture. To do the film negatives, you have to download an app l, which is so easy to use.
