Great piece of kit
A great piece of kit and an improvement on the separate gimbal lock and cover provided as standard. Very easy to fit and made of good strong material. Delivered quickly, well packaged and reasonably priced.

Fantastic product. Itâs twice the price of a normal shield replacement, but the gimbal lock feature makes it well worth the extra … no more errors from forgetting to remove the clamp! High quality, great fit, well packaged with a cleaning cloth too …. 100% recommended!

Nice to have. Although quality is not the best. Plastic in not even like the original. -Not that you are supposed to take pictures thru the plastic. Good and easy to use and does not damage the gimbal wires like the original one does.

Great item. It is really shame to DJI have not done it in first place. It saves your gimbal when you travel so its not shaking around in the bag,also protects actual lens like usual cover. It is 2in1 product. Really worth every penny spent!

This is a welcome global lock and shield, it is easy to apply and says the time to remember having to remove two separate items before you fly the mavic pro. I appreciate that the equipment supplied when first bought is basic and helps keep the cost reasonable but once you start using the mavic you find a lot of additional items are required and as said in previous reviews could and should be included in a package to give the option to purchase with a new mavic pro it may cost slightly more but then once you have flown it for a while they become requirements and the money has to be spent anyway. If anyone has similar thoughts it would be informative.

Perfect for the forgetful!!
Like many others I don’t know why the originals are not made like this; I hold my hands up and admit I forgot to remove the inner gimbal clamp on one of my first flights…….this product should hopefully remove that risk entirely. Fits well and does what it’s supposed to do. I have taken an extra step just in case I should suffer a brain-fade event in the future – see attached photos………I had the lanyard which I bought at an airshow; obviously anything similar would do, it just happens this one was worded perfectly for the job in hand! I drilled a 2mm hole very carefully in the shield and fitted a small split-ring from an old keyring. I have tried it in both the original Mavic carry bag and my hard case and it fits fine.

Fitted really well but a bit tight. One lug broke off and that may have been me finding an easier way to get it off. Even with one lug it still fits well

This is EXACTLY what I needed. I had actually lost the gimbal clamp, and my plastic hood had broken so I always attached it with a piece of tape when storing the drone, lol.. So instead of purchasing a new hood and the gimbal plastic, I found this piece! I actually prefer it to the gimbal piece, with that one I was always scared that I would ruin the drone while taking it out/putting it in. Many people mentioned that they forgot taking the gimbal clamp off, and that this one would prevent that. I actually stopped using the gimbal clamp, which was a bad idea!! My drone travelled many miles in my backpack, and each little vibration actually extends the rubber bands… That won’t happen anymore with this hood ! 🙂

This fits perfectly and does the job of 2 pieces. If you are going to fly with the shield ON, use the original. The lock holds the camera gimbal steady for transport. This works great for transporting the drone!!

Works perfectly for what it’s for, This is not for flying. But perfectly replaces the 2 piece gimbal cover and gimbal lock on the mavic. It’s a slight difference in putting this on opposed to the stock gimbal cover, but it’s easily adjusted to. Now I never forget to remove the gimbal lock. and it’s rock solid for transport. Clips in and out easily. I would easily buy this again if it were to break or get lost. Also fits any cases I have without any issues.
