Impressive for size and price
This far surpassed expectations. Itรขยยs useable as manually or it has auto settings for rocket, circle and follow. So easy to land as it returns to the hand. It doesnรขยยt require a battery charger as the lead plugs in directly to the unit. But itรขยยs handy to have extra batteries and a charger to swap over. The flight times around 15 mins but that will vary on wind conditions. If itรขยยs much more than a gentle breeze it struggles to take off or hold position as itรขยยs so small but thatรขยยs to be expected. Itรขยยs brilliant to carry out on a hike as so lightweight. Good fun and does good quality videos. Usable with phone as controller or a dedicated controller is available seperatly which also lengthens the distance it can travel.

Love this drone.Having bought, and flown other drones, the DJI Neo has exceeded my expectations.Excellent video quality and stabilisation. The ‘one button’ flight modes, without using a phone or controller are amazing. Landing the drone on your hand, for the first time, is a joy!The app is good too, so when you plan longer flights and use a controller, it should be easy to use. It’s the best drone experience I’ve had.Being able to sync phone audio, to what you film, and remove the drone motor noise, is a game changer. So is the ability to carry the Neo around, in a pocket, with just your smart phone.For the asking price, it’s worth every penny. It has no ‘collision avoidance’ sensors, so maybe buy ‘bumpers’ and a gimbal protector, are worth spending a few quid on. (A case, and a spare lens cover too.)

Probably the best value for money camera drone on the market.This drone is perfect for beginners since it does not require a remote or even a mobile app for the majority of its functions.It is very forgiving when it comes to flying and the sensors/camera AI has impressive obstacle detection.The video quality is brilliant at 4k 30fps, though it must be said that in order to access the footage, you need to use the mobile app, which is far from perfect. Connecting your mobile device to the drone is not very consistent, and the app is full of unnecessary pages which confuse the user.Brilliant piece of kit, it’s a shame the app is rough around the edges.

Great value automated mini drone
This review is for the Fly More Combo which takes this little drone up to รยฃ300 but includes 2 extra batteries, fast charger and controller.I have had a Hover X1 for a year so familiar with automated selfie style filming. The Neo functions in this area are very similar and very easy to use. You just choose which one you want and press a button to launch. There is no object avoidance so if youรขยยre using something like a flying zoom out shot you need to be sure there are no obstacles in the way. The follow me function works really well but is limited in speed. All fine for walking or running but not if you want to cycle fast. The 4K footage is very good for the price in my opinion but not professional broadcast standard.When using the controller you open up more filming potential. The automated settings are great, but not if you want to just film scenery or other people. The controller feels very solid and is very easy to use. It has a long range, but I havenรขยยt a pushed it as Iรขยยm always conscious of not wanting to let the drone out of sight. It is stated at 7km.Iรขยยm still experimenting but initial impressions are very good. Itรขยยs a fun little drone, very good value and small enough to pop in a pocket or small bag. It is quite noisy and high pitched but much the same as the Hover X1. The higher you go the less you can hear it. If using your phone for the microphone, the software automatically removes the propeller noise.There was a local fire (all made safe now) about a mile or two away from where I live, the footage is the drone going up to take a look. Itรขยยs around maximum height using automatic settings and flying with the controller.

Dank meiner Kontakte zu DJI hatte ich die Gelegenheit, die Neo vorab ausfรยผhrlich zu testen. Und es gibt eine Menge zu berichten.DIE DJI NEO:Die Neo fรยผgt sich hervorragend in das DJI-Portfolio ein. Sie ist eine ideale Einsteigerdrohne und sogar gรยผnstiger als die Mini 4K. Zudem kann sie als รขยยSpielzeugdrohneรขยย bezeichnet werden รขยย und das ist absolut positiv gemeint! Mit dem Herbst und Winter vor der Tรยผr bietet die Neo eine tolle Mรยถglichkeit, auch in Innenrรยคumen zu fliegen, ohne groรยes Risiko einzugehen. Sie benรยถtigt weniger Platz und Vorsicht als etwa die Avata (2), die bei einem Innenraumcrash durchaus erheblichen Schaden verursachen kann. Im Vergleich dazu ist die kleine, leichte Drohne mit nur 135 Gramm absolut ungefรยคhrlich. Die DJI RC-N2, die es mit der Air 3 und Mini 4 gab, soll ebenfalls kompatibel sein รขยย dies konnte ich jedoch nicht testen, prรยผft das bitte selbst, falls es fรยผr euch relevant ist!FERNSTEUERUNGEN:DJI zeigt sich erneut รขยยcleverรขยย beim Zubehรยถr: Die Drohne gibt es entweder einzeln mit einem Akku fรยผr 199,- EUR oder als Fly More Combo mit RC-N3 Fernsteuerung, drei Akkus und Lade-HUB fรยผr 349,- EUR. Wenn man bereits eine kompatible Fernbedienung besitzt, bietet sich der Kauf der Drohne allein fรยผr 199,- EUR an. Dieses Mal lohnt sich das auch: Die zusรยคtzlichen Akkus und den Ladehub einzeln zu kaufen, kostet 115,- EUR. Wer den N3 Controller nicht benรยถtigt, spart also. Fรยผr 349,- EUR kostet der N3 Controller dann nur etwa 85,- EUR statt der regulรยคren 119,- EUR. Alternativ kรยถnnte man ihn fรยผr etwa 35,- EUR oder mehr auf eBay verkaufen. Mรยถglicherweise werden wir dort bald viele neue N3 Controller sehen ๐ Will man die zusรยคtzlichen Akkus? Definitiv, denn nach 15 Minuten Flugzeit mit einem Akku mรยถchte man mehr. Bei starkem Wind endet der Spaรย schnell. Daher sollte man nicht versuchen, die Drohne aus einem Hochhausfenster jenseits des 15. Stocks herauszufliegen รขยย in diesen Hรยถhen gibt es andere Luftverwirbelungen, und man kรยถnnte die Drohne verlieren.Zur FPV-Nutzung: DJI selbst sagt, die Neo sei primรยคr zum รยben der Throttle Control gedacht und eignet sich nicht fรยผr Dives, Split-S, Power Loops oder Yaw Spins. Es handelt sich eindeutig nicht um eine Freestyle-Drohne. Dieses Problem gab es schon bei der Avata 1: Sie war als Whoop fรยผr ruhige Filmaufnahmen gedacht, wurde jedoch oft fรยคlschlicherweise als Freestyle-Drohne verwendet. Dies ist auch ein Grund, warum die Avata 2 deutlich mehr Motorleistung hat รขยย aber hier soll es um die Neo gehen. Fazit: Die Neo ist keine Freestyle-Drohne, aber der Indoor-Flug im FPV-Modus macht definitiv Spaรย!KAMERA:Abschlieรยend zur Kamera: In dieser Preisklasse ist sie nicht das wichtigste Feature, aber dennoch nicht zu vernachlรยคssigen. Fรยผr den Preis bietet sie ein wirklich gutes Bild! Da sie keine mechanische Stabilisierung durch einen mehrachsigen Gimbal hat, ist sie im Sportmodus nicht vรยถllig ruckelfrei, aber die Qualitรยคt ist insgesamt solide.FAZIT:Die Neo ist in jedem Fall eine klare Kaufempfehlung รขยย sowohl fรยผr Einsteiger als auch fรยผr erfahrene Piloten.
