Solid tablet good value for money
Setup was standard Andoid with the usual unwanted pre loaded apps which can’t be uninstalled but can be turned off. Processor speed was ok but multitasking wasn’t as fast as expected.Screen colour and brightness is good for streaming movies and the sound is loud and clear.Battery life was good enough for two 1.5 hour streams from Google. Bluetooth music streaming was easy connection and signal range was good with no intermittent drop-outs.This tablet has a solid feel about it so should be able to take a few knocks without a problem.I think it is good value for money at the moment.

Instant e-Waste.
I’m so tired of having to write negative tech reviews here. And i really don’t want to criticise Doogee, as i would happily recommend some of their phones to anyone. But this this U10 tablet is just junk, it really is..My first (very petty) grumble was immediately on turning this on for the set up, and there’s no UK English, just US English. Ah well, i did say that first grumble was petty..But next, i was trying to connect to my Wi-Fi router, and the security protocol options on this don’t even include the one that i have always used. This is the very first time that i have ever come across this issue, and i’m not about to change everything else on my network just to suit this one device, yet alone turn my network security off!.So then i tried to use my Google Pixel as a hotspot. But connecting them via a USB-C to USB-C cable, and all that this tablet saw was a source for charging. OK, interesting to know, but moving on….I disconnected the USB-C cable, and tried to use the phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot for this tablet without a cable, the way i feel like most people would. Now when it asked me for the Wi-Fi password it didn’t give me any way to type it in. Instead, a little Google microphone icon shows up and it wants you to say the password out loud. Who’s clever idea was that then? Saying passwords clearly and out loud? Whoever dreamed that up obviously lives in a better place than i do! And apart from anything else, it being a Google mic asking me my password just feels creepy to me somehow. And to be completely clear, there is NO option to type in that password (believe me, i tried)..Interesting side note: This ”Feature” also has a profanity filter, which might be worth knowing upfront for some people..But now the worst part. Rebooting this device (maybe just to take a brief moment before throwing it at a wall) and now i am asked for the PIN number i set up (literally the only thing i have been able to set up so far). And now there is nowhere to type that in, or even a creepy Google mic icon either. It won’t do anything without me entering the PIN number, but it won’t give me any way TO enter that PIN number..Endless trying and reboots and nothing. In the end i tried the standard Android hard factory reset, and no joy there either. I have only had this tablet for an hour or two, and i am locked out of a device that i am already confident is next to un-usable anyway..To add to all of this, when returning things to Amazon at my local post office, the QR code for this one item mysteriously won’t work. Hours spent dealing with Amazons ”help”, being messed around and sent in circles, and all i have gotten is a £7 refund for something else (which i never even returned), a QR code for returning this that still won’t work, and a headache..Again, i don’t want to say anything bad about Doogee as a company (it’s more Amazon at fault at this point), but absolutly everything about buying this device has left me feeling like i am the victim of a complicated petty crime intended to offload some faulty electronic goods..

Not what I expected
I suppose, as usual, one gets what one pays for. I bought this cheaply made and basic tablet, hoping it would allow me to view my security cameras in more detail. Yes, the images were larger than my phone’s, but I found the whole experience of handling a larger device in less-than-ideal clarity somewhat unsatisfactory.If you are looking for a cheap and cheerful tablet, this will probably be okay, but don’t expect too much.
