These work. They are great to keep on the truck when you may need a longer cable than what you have with you. Add to that these are bulkhead connectors, so you can mount them on a panel, or in a case and have a make shift enclosure. I have used them already for testing purposes. I recomend these couplers.

These connectors are great!Build quality is very good (fully metal) and they have an optional washer and hex nut attached so you can mount them to a panel, as required. The “mini BNC” ST format forces the tip alignment of your optical patch cables to optimize your chance of transmitting as much light as possible to the mated cable.The red dust covers really stick to the connector so they’ll be well protected and dust free when it comes time to use them.Just remember you’ll typically need pairs of these per single, bi-directional communication channel using ST patch cables.Highly recommended!

These couplers lock down well and are aligned for good mating. The product images are exactly what you get in this set, but they also come in a clear case that keeps them together and makes them easy to find. Fiber optic components are so pricey and I got 20 couplers for the price of what 2 cost elsewhere. Amazing value!
