Great device for allowing you to control a radiators thermostat without needing to crouch on the floor every time you want to turn the temperature up & down.We used this on our kitchen radiator as it sits under a table and can be hard to reach, with this the main section is attached to the radiator while the controller sits above the table where it’s easy to control and provides at a glance info on the temperature and setting.When you receive the unit the control & main valve are separate with the controller being in a smart housing which can be mounted on a wall, by carefully removing the controller from the wall mounting plate you can attach it to the valve itself if you just use a single valve.Overall a smart compact unit which will be good to help save energy costs without having to get on your knees every 5 minutes to adjust the radiator. + best of all the remote can control up to 8 devices so you can adjust all radiators at the touch of a button.

Once setup works very well
It is very good once Iâd got it all setup. Itâs very clever how you add the little control unit to the top of the valve to use it as one piece or you can mount the thermostat on the wall with the included mount and sync it with the thermostat.I did have some trouble getting it to sync, I think I rushed in a bit to be honest but it took a few goes for it to work. When Iâd got it connected to the thermostat and I tried manually changing the temperature and after a few seconds there was a little whir and out popped the little nipple that shuts off the valve.I thought Iâd got a zigbee gateway with some lights but whatever I have got itâs not a zigbee one and this doesnât connect.The noise is noticeable but not too noisy for a bedroom, it did seem loud in the morning but I soon got used to it. The thermostatic head itself is very easy to attach the pipe valve itâs not a water sealing nut to attach it so it doesnât take much. The build quality is pretty good, the design seems a bit overly complicated but it does work.The temperature control seems accurate and it does go on and off throughout the day keeping the temperature.Itâs good, not the super advanced heating smart valve Iâd imagined but Iâd does the job well. Itâs expensive mind you, full price they are fifty pounds so Iâll not be updating my house yet.

If you don’t have a Zigbee hub, you may need to purchase one to use the thermostat effectively.This is energy saving and easy to control with an app. It also has voice commands. It works well with my Google assistant.

Da wir ständig vergessen, die Heizung auszuschalten wenn wir schlafen gehen oder wenn wir tagsüber nicht im Haus sind, haben wir uns nach einem vernünftigen, smarten Heizkörperthermostat umgeschaut und sind so auf das ECOBAY GEM Smart Heizkörperthermostat im Starter Set gestoÃen.Das Thermostat sieht wirklich modern aus und ist hochwertig verarbeitet. Es sind mehrere Adapter zum Befestigen dabei, passend für alle Heizungstypen. Bei einem Standard-Ventil (DN15?) braucht man jedoch keinen der Adapter und kann das Thermostat direkt befestigen, so wie es bei uns der Fall war.Die Einrichtung erfolgt innerhalb weniger Minuten, es ist auch eine sehr ausführliche und leicht verständliche Anleitung dabei. Wer eine Appsteuerung möchte so wie wir, der muss sich noch zusätzlich ein Zigbee Gateway besorgen, diese gibt es bereits ab 20⬠auf Amazon. Wir finden die App unglaublich praktisch, da man so Heizautomatiken zu jedem einzelnen Tag einstellen kann oder mal eben auf den “ich verlasse das Haus” Button drücken kann, damit die Heiztemperaturen sofort runtergeschaltet werden.Wir haben den Sensor nicht an das Thermostat, sondern an eine Wand am anderen Ende des Raums platziert, damit im Raum eine konstante Wärme gehalten wird. Es funktioniert alles so wie wir es uns vorgestellt haben und wir sind mehr als zufrieden, vor allem auch mit dem Service, der bei Fragen über Whatsapp erreichbar ist und sehr schnell antwortet und einem weiterhilft!

Das Thermostat Starter Kit besteht aus einem Thermostat einer Sensoreinheit mit Display, 4 MontageaufsaÌtze fuÌr verschiedene HeizkoÌrperventiltypen sowie passende Batterien fuÌr das Set. Bei mir sind Standard Thermostate verbaut also passt das Smart Thermostat ohne Adapter auf das HeizkoÌrperventil. Nach der Montage muss das Thermostat noch mit der Sensoreinheit verbunden werden, nach dem die Batterien eingelegt wurden. Dies funktioniert recht einfach. Sind die beiden Teile mit einander verbunden, funktioniert die Steuerung uÌber die Sensoreinheit. Diese kann auf das Thermostat aufgesteckt werden oder als Fernsteuerung im Raum genutzt werden. FuÌr die Steuerung uÌber Handy oder andere Smartsteuerungen ist ein zusaÌtzliches Gateway notwendig oder die GeraÌte haben eine Zigbee Routine integriert. Die Bedienung über die Sensoreinheit ist sehr praktisch, da man nicht immer zum Thermostat gehen muss, um die Raumtemperatur anzupassen. Ãber die Sensoreinheit lassen sich mehrere Thermostate steuern. Es liegt ein Benutzerhandbuch in deutsch bei und mit diesem bekommt man es auch zum laufen. Für andere Smartsteuerungen liegt eine Anleitung in englisch bei.

Das Thermostat kommt in einer hochwertigen Verpackung, die Anleitung zur Installation ist ganz ok. Machbar, wenn man keine zwei linken Hände hat. Vorteilhaft, wenn man schon ein paar Mal elektrische Thermostate selbst installiert hat. Bisher hatten wir nur elektrische Thermostate, welche man umständlich einstellen muss. Dieses Thermostat funktioniert super und ist dazu kaum wahrnehmbar.Ich bin überhaupt kein Fan von Apps, daher fand ich die Fernbedienung, hier als “Sensor” bezeichnet, ganz angenehm. Die Haptik und Bedienung dieser ist aber schlichtweg eine Katastrophe. Nur bei jedem 3-4 Touch reagiert das Display, der Touch Sensor ist echt unter aller Sau. Hier besser auf normale Push-Buttons ausweichen oder das Konzept des Controllers nochmal überdenken. Als normaler Käufer hätte ich es direkt wieder zurückgeschickt.Da das Thermostat an sich super ist, funktioniert seit einem Monat ohne Probleme. Da aber die Fernbedienung ausschlaggebend für mich war, gibt es nur 3 Sterne.
