Good product for price
Iâve been using the Edifier W830NB headphones for a little while now, and Iâm genuinely impressed with what they offer for the price. The sound quality is really clean, and with LDAC on, you can definitely hear the extra detail in your music. The ANC is surprisingly strong tooâit cuts out background noise really well, especially for flights or just working in busy places. What really sold me though is the battery life. Iâve gone days without even thinking about charging them, and when I do need to, a quick charge gives hours of use. They’re also super comfortable to wear for long stretches, which is something Iâve struggled with on other headphones. If youâre looking for a reliable pair with great sound, noise cancellation, and insane battery life, Iâd totally recommend these. They’re also super light and connect very easily.

Edifier W830NB headphones, comfortable fit.
Iâve been using the Edifier W830NB headphones for a while now. For anyone considering a pair of wireless, noise-cancelling headphones that strike the perfect balance of performance and value, these are definitely worth a look at.First, the standout feature is the impressive Active Noise Cancelling (ANC). The -45 dB ANC capability, ideal for use on a plane, in a coffee shop, or commuting. I can finally enjoy music etc without background distractions. The sound quality itself is excellent too, with clear highs, rich mids, and deep bass that doesnât feel overwhelming.Battery life is another area where these headphones shine. With up to 94 hours of playtime, depending on use, ie noise cancelling will reduce this, as expected. This makes them especially handy for long haul flightsâno more stressing about finding a charging port!Theyâre also super comfortable. The over-ear design, combined with plush cushioning, makes these headphones easy to wear for hours on end without any discomfort, the fit is secure yet gentle.Portability is a bonus as well. Despite their over-ear design, they fold up compactly, so theyâre easy to stow away in a carry-on or backpack. Theyâre durable yet lightweight, making them a solid choice for travel.Lastly, the price was incredibly competitive for what youâre getting. Itâs rare to find headphones with this level of sound quality, ANC, and battery life without spending a small fortune. If youâre looking for premium features at a reasonable price point, I would highly recommend looking at the Edifier W830NB, headphones.

Decent and not just for the price
Letâs cut to the chase: these headphones are quite decent, and not just for the price. They offer a lovely, crisp sound, making for an enjoyable listening experience. No, they donât possess the detail or punch of high-end headphones, but regardless of the set you choose, it ultimately comes down to personal taste. I found listening to rock, classical, and indie music very pleasing, and I noticed capturing little details I perhaps hadnât before. I also use Airpods Pro 2 and purchased these as an over-ear alternative, as sometimes I prefer not to have in-ear headphones for extended periods, and I can confidently say these are an exceptionally comfortable set of headphones. The cushions are incredibly soft and feel fantastic. There are also a plethora of added features; the noise cancelling is effective, improved by an excellent seal around the ear, and the ambient sound mode works well for taking calls and staying aware of your surroundings (although there are better headphones in the transparency mode category). The wireless high-res sound performs admirably, although I havenât yet tried this wired to compare. The overall appearance of the headphones is attractive, perhaps a little on the thick side, which gives them a chunky look, but I think the design is quite nice. Overall, I would give these headphones 4 stars, based on comparing them to ALL headphones, including the more expensive sets, so itâs high praise indeed. They offer good value for money, a pleasing sound, a multitude of great features, and a quality app, too.Just for reference, I purchased these with my own money for my own use and did not receive any donations or a free pair to test.

Incredible Comfort and Amazing Sound
I have spent a lot of money on Headphones over the years, including Bose, Sony XM4, even Apple AirPods Pro. The most expensive Apple was too uncomfortable for me, the Sony was great but son was using them all the time so I decided to let him have them and just buy some cheap ones. These are the best sounding most comfortable I have had so far, especially when connected via the USB C cable (as I use iPhone that does not support LDAC). These are so good that I spent hours listening in amazement. I’m not really an Audiophile, so maybe it’s just my preference, but with no adjustment at all they sound perfect to me. Detailed and crisp with amazing soundstage and deep deep lows. To my ears these are better than any of the more expensive ones I have owned, and so incredibly light weight while not feeling overly cheap.. its hard to describe how comfortable these are, again it could just be me.. the shape of my head or ears, but they are just great. I do not really use noise cancellation so cannot really judge that.

Great headset
Great quality with great bass sound effect. The functions are easily accessible. It has a great battery life as I could use for 3 to 4 days straight without charging.

Somewhat disappointed
Five stars for sound quality and build, fit and comfort. App control not so much, no equaliser function, or volume control…No headphone jack connection, I travel at least 2 times a year long flights, how I’m suppose to connect this Headphone to ICE flights? No case offered at this price range, really ?

My bold headline is 100% tongue-in-cheek–I adore my wife. These headphones are so good at this price point that it has the unintended effect of making it hard to hear my wife when she calls for me! Nooo! A few years ago I bought some Sony over-ear WH1000XM3s for $350 and they served me well for a couple of years, until they developed a major in-ear *shrieking* feedback loop issue, which made the active noise cancellation (ANC) totally unusable, so I started using them as corded headphones until the headband broke. This put me in the market for a new pair of ANCs, but money is tight right now.So I researched budget ANCs and found the Edifier W830NB after watching a variety of YouTube videos. For $80, these seem to have (subjectively) about 80-90% of what that older Sony pair delivered in terms of ANC and sound quality. I did some headphone frequency sweeps via YouTube and the headphones didn’t have trouble with most frequencies. I did notice that while doing a center-channel frequency sweep, sometimes a tone would sound louder in one ear than the other, (which it’s ideally not supposed to do), but that’s not a deal-breaker for me. The bass could also be a bit thumpier, as I listen to a lot of hip-hop (among many other genres). The headphones did not rattle, though, during the low-range frequency tests, which suggests a solid build quality.Overall, I think these are five star for the money and the ANC. They may not rattle your brain in the audio quality arena, but for my purposes, sitting at my desk and trying to drown out the sound of a loud wall AC and portable fans during the summer, they do a fantastic job. I also like that this Edifier model has a corded (USB-C) jack, which I use most of the time. the next rung-up of Edifier ANCs didn’t have this feature. The headphones are comfortable–maybe a little tight right out of the box, but after the foam gets softer, they’ll be fine. The earcups feel a bit warm, but I also live in Los Angeles, where warm weather is frequent, and my Sonys had the same issue. This Edifier charges quickly, the sound is clear, and I can work dutifully at my desk. Although sometimes I have to lift up one of my ear cups, just so I can hear my wife. 🙂
