Fixed my 20-year, high-pitched, squealing, quiet-but-noticeable background interference noise
Similar to a review I recently wrote about a “UGREEN 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack cable”, these Elebase 1/4″ balanced cables are great!For the last 20+ years, I’ve been using two unbalanced jack leads to connect one of my synths to an audio interface and mixing desk.There has always been a faint, whining of frequencies in the 1.4kHz-5kHz range, which sounded like PC interference that I couldn’t get rid of fully.Having recently discovered (!!) that the synth technically has balanced jack connectors, I bought two boxes of these Elebase cables to try it with.Oh, wow. The squealing high-pitched noise has gone.All that is remaining is a very, very quiet white noise that I can’t hear, is no longer tainting audio when using effects such as amp/distortion in Ableton, and I only “know” that there’s white noise there because I can “see it” with the spectrum analyser effect.So yes, very impressed with these Elebase cables, they’ve definitely done their job and I’d recommend to anyone who is wanting to connect equipment together which supports balanced jack connections.I’ll include two screenshots of “before” and “after” – demonstrating what absolute silence between the synth and audio interface “looks” like.The “after” image is certainly flatter, much closer to the noise floor and doesn’t have those high-pitched frequencies colouring the sound.

These cables are very good and also seem to be durable⦠make sure you order the correct ones for your setup, I overlooked this â¦I ordered these for my acoustic bass with a simple straightforward pickup⦠I needed the âmonoâ cableâ¦this cable has a âsingleâ ring on the shaft of the plugâ¦Be sure you check your setupâ¦I will try uploading a picture to better clarify my commentâ¦Either cord will work on the electric bass with stereo 2 channel controls ⦠I hope this is clear
