Better than making your own, but not the best
This is way better than some of the half-baked solutions I have come up with in the past when encountering a lack of a proper tripod, or a rig to do overhead shots; I’m looking you, Boom Mic Stand. It’s stable in most scenarios, but in the one I want it most for – overhead shots – it isn’t very stable at full extension which is a real shame. Some kind of built in counter balance would sort this out, but there’s nothing included to do the trick.Otherwise this is a pretty versatile piece of kit in a sensibly small form factor with a carrying case coming as an added bonus.

Das Elitehood Stativ kommt im kleinen neutralen Karton an. Neben dem Grundstativ findet sich darin eine Metallstange mit Gewindekopf, die man vertikal oder horizontal am Stativ montieren kann, eine kleine Handyhalterung aus Kunststoff, ein einfacher kleiner Kugelkopf aus Metall sowie eine eine Tasche aus Oxford-Nylonstoff, in dem man alles unterbringen kann.Das Grundstativ ist mit rund 850gr sehr leicht, was unter anderem dem Einsatz von Kunststoff zu verdanken ist. Trotzdem macht das Stativ einen recht stabilen Eindruck, da die drei ausziehbaren Beine aus Aluminium gefertigt sind.Das Stativ ist mit eingesetzter Stange minimal 46cm hoch (ohne Handyaufsatz/Kugelkopf). Die Beine lassen sich dreifach ausziehen, damit erreicht man eine Maximalhöhe von rund 176cm (ohne Handyaufsatz/Kugelkopf). Bei dieser Höhe wird das Stativ aber schon recht wackelig und instabil, für Handy/Gopro oder maximal eine Kleinbildkamera reicht es aber aus.Der obere Bereich der Beine ist mit einer Art Moosgummi/Schaumstoff überzogen, damit lässt sich das Stativ bequem tragen und nutzen.Die Arretierung der Beine erfolgt über drei Kunststoffklemmen, mit denen man die Beine individuell in der Höhe einstellen kann. Die Klemmhalterung ist zwar aus Kunststoff, trotzdem ist die Arretierung der Beine sehr stabil! Zusätzliche Stabilität wird durch drei Streben erreicht, die die Beine mit der Mittelsäule verbinden. Diese Verbindung lässt sich zudem durch einen Drehring feststellen. Wer das Stativ noch etwas beschweren will, findet auf der Unterseite der Mittelsäule einen kleinen Haken, in dem sich ein Gewicht, Sandsack oder etwas ähnliches einhaken lässt.Im oberen Bereich seitlich ist eine kleine einfache Wasserwaage (Libelle) angebracht, mit der man den Stand des Statives recht gut justieren kann. Für einen guten Stand sorgen die in einer Kugel gelagerten, frei beweglichen GummifüÃe, die sich auch unebenem Boden sehr gut anpassen. Schräg gegenüber der Libelle ist noch ein Stativ-Gewinde angebracht, in dem man den Kugelkopf eindrehen kann, ein Adapter Schraube auf Schraube ist im Kugelkopf bereits eingedreht.Das Feature, was das Elitehood Stativ besonders macht, ist die vertikal sowie Horizontal einsetzbare Stange. Die Stange ist eingezogen rund 34cm lang, lässt sich aber auf imposante 61cm ausziehen! So lange würde ich die Stange aber nicht im horizontalen ausziehen, da sie dann leicht zu Schwingungen und somit zum Verwackeln neigt.Horizontal eingesetzt kann man das Stativ auch sehr gut als Makro-/Repro-Stativ nutzen, mit dem Kugelkopf sind auch schräge Aufnahmen möglich. Leider kann man keine zusätzliche Beleuchtung anbringen, ein sogenannter Coldshoe findet sich weder am Handyadapter, Kugelkopf oder sonstwo am Stativ.Die beiliegende Handyhalterung ist komplett aus Kunststoff und eher von der einfacheren Sorte. Trotzdem macht Sie ihre Aufgabe sehr gut. Die Aufnahme des Handys ist gummiert, das Festhalten erfolgt, nicht wie so oft üblich über eine Feder, sondern über eine Stellschraube, mit der sich die Halterung auf Handybreiten von ca. 5,3 bis ca. 10cm einstellen lässt. Ãber 10cm wird es instabil, da die beiden Führungsstangen frei liegen. Trotzdem reicht es für praktisch alle momentan erhältlichen Handys vollkommen aus.Die Handyaufnahme lässt sich in 12 Rasterungen um 360° drehen, somit sind neben reinen Horizontal und Vertikalaufnahmen auch schräge Winkel möglich. Das ist wichtig, wenn man das Stativ nur schräg aufstellen kann (z.B. Hanglage).Fazit:Für zur Zeit knapp 50,-⬠kann man kein Profistativ verlangen, für den Einsatz als Handystativ oder bei Verwendung mit einer Gopro, einem kleinen Spektiv oder einen kleinen Kompaktkamera reicht das Elitehood aber vollkommen aus. Es lässt sich bis zu einer enormen Höhe ausfahren und ist trotzdem recht leicht. Die horizontale Stangenhalterung macht das Stativ enorm vielseitig. Im Lieferumfang vermisse ich letztlich nur eine Halterung (Coldshoe), um eine kleine Beleuchtung, ein Mikrofon oder ähnliches zu montieren. Für die beworbene Anwendung finde ich das Stativ für den Preis und die Verarbeitung vollkommen ok, daher kann ich die vollen 5 Sterne vergeben.
