As a big note, this review is for the Emeet C60E 4K webcam for PC. You should really look at the photos of the camera since this webcam does not match with the current one on the product page. The camera comes with a flip cover for the camera that you have to place on the camera, it is held down by an adhesive. The camera itself comes attached to a monitor stand and has an attached usb a cable. The installation of the camera was plug and play, I was able to plug in the camera and it was able to connect and start running. Though if you’re on windows make sure the camera has been allowed to be accessed. I had mine disabled and it took a bit of time to figure out that I had to allow the camera access to Windows. The stand it is attached to does have a fitting to allow you to attach the camera to a tripod and the camera does allow you to adjust the tilt angle a little bit.The quality itself is pretty good, I used the camera through OBS to record a video and it looked fine, I also used the camera through video sharing on Discord and while that worked it did look rather dark, and I’m not sure if that was discord or the camera not adjusting the brightness when the output is darker. I can’t really record in 4K so I can’t test out if that works but under my normal usage the video looks fine. It does have auto focus which helps when I’m trying to show things on the camera.I found the mic on the camera to be a bit sensitive and that while it does show that it is picking up sounds around it when you play back a recording I wasn’t able to hear the ambient sounds it was picking up, so the advertised noise reduction is working. For the recordings I did, it was able to pick up my normal speaking volume though the playback did make my voice sound a little hollow and you really need the camera facing you to have the mic fully pick up my voice when it is hanging on the monitor. Also if you have multiple mics connected, since I have a standalone mic connected to my PC, when I plug in the camera it ends up distorting my standalone mic.Overall I think this is a good camera for meetings or video chatting. I’m a little less impressed by it for recordings and streaming due to the mic quality but also that having the camera plugged in affects my standalone mic so I can’t even use a separate mic if I wanted better voice quality.

For some reason Windows computers still suffer from a complete lack of good quality web cams. Just take a look at a video quality from a modern smartphone or from an iPad to see what is possible with very small mobile units, and yet in order to match that quality on a full size computer you need to spend hundreds on a high quality setup and learn secrets of streaming software. The EMEET SmartCam C60E (the listing unfortunately displays a completely different model now) is an inexpensive alternative to the more advanced setup. The original listing was for about $80, but the camera can be found online for less than that. This camera is supposed to offer high resolution recording – 4k at 30fps, dual noise cancelling microphones and an auto focus lens.I’m using a Windows computer and installation of the camera was completely plug and play. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you connect the camera your default recording device will change, so if you have another microphone hooked up to the computer, you will have to change the appropriate settings. The camera looks sleek, has a good mount that clips onto the monitor, and importantly comes with a mechanical privacy cover.Sadly no matter what I tried, I wasn’t able to get anything more than 1080p resolution. This might be a limitation of the software on my computer or possibly the Windows operating system. At 1080p however the video quality was quite reasonable, although the webcam couldn’t properly figure out exposure in situations with contrasty backlit backgrounds.Auto focus generally works pretty well, although in dimmer light I encountered issues with the camera not locking in and just hunting for the focus point. Fine in the daylight thou.Audio quality of the internal microphones is OK, but not amazing. The noise reduction while working well to remove all sorts of computer noises, leaves the voice sounding a quite a bit mechanical. If you don’t already have an external microphone then the ones on the webcam are a good enough option.Overall, I’d say this is a fairly average unit. Does the job, but not really very well. I’m not sure why the listing has been changed to another camera model, while leaving all the irrelevant reviews for the previous model in place, so keep in mind, this is a review for EMEET SmartCam C60E camera.

The photos it takes are indeed 4K, but windows camera only goes up to 2k for video though. Both options have a lot of compression artifacts and despite being in an office with a corner window and lots of daylight, the output is very VERY grainy. While the output is very detailed, and the 60FPS video looks impressive, the graininess is distracting. The autofocus works well, and the FOV looks much better than most webcams, sort of taking a step back from your face. The plug and play works perfectly, no apps required. I didn’t like that the privacy cover came as a separate adhesive add-on that required manually lining it up with the lens. Once I had the camera mounted in place it stayed there for a long time and never shifted. You will have to hold it still with both hands if you want to adjust the angle on the ball joint.

If you work in a corporate office then I’ll definitely recommend this webcam the entire world is online and using Teams or Zoom. if you’re an executive at a company you definitely want to make up to par. Built in webcams with laptops are just garbage. It doesn’t matter what company makes your laptop, it’s just horrible. That’s where webcams like these come in, and they provide a unreal experience. The camera is easy to mount and easy to install on any PC. Just plug in the USB cable and you’re good to go. You may need to jump into the settings of your computer to specify the and the microphone that is used to pick up sound once that’s done, you’re good to go. The first thing that I noticed right after installation is the video quality. Better than the webcam that’s built into my laptop. 4K truly makes a huge difference when it comes to taking meetings. Funny enough, I had a bunch of people ask me work on my webcam from because they’re not used to seeing higher quality video. They are used to the grainy 720P webcams that are in everyone’s laptops. The microphone did good as well and for the most part, it just got the job done. Overall, I’m really happy with this webcam and I’ll definitely recommend it

Note: This product listing has changed. When I ordered, it was a horizontal webcam with integrated microphone to hook on the top of your computer monitor, but now it has changed to a tube design camera mounted on a stand with a separate wireless microphone. So the buyer should be aware of this change when reading the reviews. They might be reading comments for the older monitor mounted webcam like what I received, and not for the current camera listing.– Review for Monitor Mounted 4K Webcam –As a monitor mounted 4K webcam, it checks all the right boxes. It defaults to 1080p but it can stream up to 4K, and has 2 built-in mics with noise-cancellation. I’m glad that it also comes with an optional privacy cover cap on a flip hinge. Connection was plug-and-play with the camera being detected right away in Windows with no need to install additional drivers. I was also glad to see that I could control the camera settings in MS Teams, something that I was previously unable to do. I see in the booklet that there are links to 3rd party tools, but aren’t needed if you are sticking to the defaults. Full marks for the camera, but minus 1 star since the product listing has changed and might confuse buyers.
