Excellent simple hi definition scanner
The scanner was simple to install onto my network and provides hi quality scanning of documents. I havent as yet used for scanning photos so cant comment on the resolution but if anything as good as documents then it will be excellent for saving those old photos.

Efficient, well priced scanner from Epson
An easy scanner to set up on AppleMac system, v good scan quality, this V39 II is a replacement for my earlier (and excellent) V39. Quality of scans is discernibly better.

Connectivity Issues
This scanner has packed up after 9 scans it will no connect to my Mac and has been problematic from day one. Now I cant return it as I’ve had it too long. I’ve had Epsom scanners befor with no problems.

Low quality construction.
I previously bought a Canon LIDE 400 which had good reviews so I could archive some photographs. It was not capable using the Canon software of scanning at 4800 dpi as advertised (could only get 1200). So I opted for the Epson Perfection V39 II. I got it out of the box and was struck by how delicate it appeared. I thought it would not last long. I connected the single USB cable which is used to power the scanner (same as the Canon) and it was dead. The installation software could not detect it. I tried one of my own cables but same result. So I never got to see it I could acheive 4800dpi, let alone any other issues. Unfortunately without tripling my budget, there is not a lot of choice out there.

This product is perfect for occasional home usage, e.g. to scan some documents. It takes a few seconds to scan a 600 DPI page, so it is not convenient for scanning a book with many pages. The software is easy to install and convenient to use. To scan small card, the software can automatically crop the image. You can also easily stack multiple images side by side or top-to-bottom using the software. There is also an advanced stitching that automatically identify duplicated parts in more than one image and stitch them together, although I will not use this feature.Another important issue is that the software may collapse when you scan many images at the same time before saving. So for safety, better scan one image and save immediately, unless you’ll use stitching. For now this does not bother me much.

I needed something inexpensive to scan artwork (42 illustrations) for an illustrated gamebook I am self-publishing and going to a local business would have costed me 600 dollars. For 1/6th of the price, this was an obvious choice. I was a little nervous because several of the reviews here made the device seem like unusable garbage, but I can honestly say, I have no idea what they are complaining about. The device is super easy to use. It’s as close to “plug ‘n play” as you can get with a device like this. If people are confused about this device, this is user error–not the scanner’s. I’m super happy with the output images and really could not have asked for more. The only thing I am not a fan of is the auto-crop feature which I haven’t really looked into how to turn off. Sometimes it takes a little bit too much off of the sides of my artwork and I have to reposition it and re-scan to get a better cropped image. All in all, though, the scanner is more than I expected.

Easy to use and adjust/edit old photos after you’ve scanned them. Just make sure you download the correct software according to where it came from (US), not where you live (for international customers).

O produto é de qualidade inegável, só não recomendo para quem tem uma demanda altÃssima e precisa de agilidade, porém supri minha necessidade em meu home office.
