No issues so far!
Installed this over 2 weeks ago in my garden to cover some blind spots. Installation is easy, just 2 screws into the wall. The picture quality is fine at 2k, nighttime/vision in colour, inbuilt speaker and spotlight. All are good and do what is needed for my purpose.Setup via the eufy app was ‘ok’ but pairing to the network did take longer than expected. I got this item on sale under £100, and I was so impressed I bought another direct from Eufy.If you’re on the market for a reliable, self charging camera to safeguard your home etc, I would happily recommend. I have recently purchased 2 more for my parents and set up theirs. Very happy customer.

Iâve been using the eufy Security S230 SoloCam for a few about 6 months now, and Iâm really impressed! Setup was incredibly simple â within minutes, it was up and running without the need for any complicated wiring or hub connections. The app is user-friendly and gives me peace of mind with instant alerts and clear live footage.The video quality is sharp, even at night thanks to the built-in night vision. I also love that itâs completely wire-free and solar-powered, so I donât have to worry about charging or running cables. The motion detection works well and doesnât send false alerts, which is a big plus compared to other cameras Iâve tried.Overall, itâs a solid, reliable security camera that gives me confidence my home is well-monitored. Only lasted for 2 Years
I was quite happy with the camera and image quality at first. 23 months in I noticed some blurring in the image. I cleaned the lens and contacted Eufy who were less than helpful.I took the camera down to thoroughly clean it and tried to dry it thoroughly with a hair dryer ( as I suspect rain ingress onto the lens). The camera image is so poor it will no longer scan the QR code to re-connect to Wi-fi. Eufy will do nothing apart from offer some vague promise of a discount on future purchases. Not happy that this product only last for just over 2 years and is now useless.

Bit of a mixed bag – I guess it depends on your needs / expectations
Living in a basement flat, I bought this to provide some extra security. Overall it does the job but there are a couple of caveats that might mean it’s not the best option for everyone.THE PROS:The price is very reasonable – especially as most functions you might need are free and don’t require an additional subscription. Physical installation was really easy and took only a few minutes. The instructions for doing so are very clear and a drilling template is provided. Picture quality is great and even with what little sunshine we get, it seems to retain its charge well (I did charge it to 100% before installation). The app is pretty good and has plenty of options for customisation. For me, the motion-activated light is a real bonus as it acts as an additional deterrent should someone try to come down the steps at night.THE CONS:Connecting to the WiFi was a pain – it kept failing repeatedly and it was only resolved when I looked online and found the suggestion that I needed to put my phone (used to do the setup) into flight-safe mode. This worked but should be included in the instructions if it is a necessary step. Also, there is (currently at least) no geofencing function – so you cannot set it to arm automatically when you leave home / disarm when you arrive. But the main issue is the time between the camera being triggered and notification being received – which seems to vary from a couple of seconds to a few minutes (even when I’m at home and my phone is on the same WiFi network). I appreciate this isn’t intended to serve the same purpose as a doorbell cam, but I guess I was just expecting to know about anyone arriving straight away. I’ve checked the app and selected the fastest notification option and my broadband / WiFi is a decent speed. There isn’t any obvious consistency either – sometimes it notifies almost instantly, others it happens after someone has been and gone.Overall, for the price (and the convenience of not having to have a subscription) I like this camera – but if speed of notification is important to you it might be worth looking at other options.

Ho acquistato due cam di questo modello, per un aggiornamento Eufy sistem, credo siano le migliori per i seguenti motivi:1. Velocità trasmissione dati media 150 KB/s2. Distanza dall’extender per la trasmissione dati circa 10,50 m.3. Qualità dei materiali4. Buona ricarica del pannello solare , anche con poca luce solare5. Qualità immagine 2K, migliorata rispetto ai prodotti precedenti6. Ottima la qualità del rilevamento solo umano, non da false notifiche, ne ho avuto altre marche ed in questo aspetto tecnico hanno fatto flop, invece Eufy su questa caratteristica è al TOP7. In questo modello al rilevamento umano c’è l’opzione faro led, illumina l’ambiente almeno sino a circa 7m.8. Facile da caricare e assemblare

The camera has a battery combined with a solar panel. The quality is better than you might expect from a battery cam. Features e.g. A.I. are plenty also.
