Doorbell recording without rip off subscription!
It’s a good device for the money. Swapped to this from a Ring and very glad I did, pretty much exactly the same but without a subscription.Picture quality is very good and app is easy to use and connects quickly without lag. Set up was relatively painless and it does come with an angled bracket for a better view angle, if required. Sound seems pretty good too.My only negatives are, the whole device sits off the wall significantly. While this wouldn’t be a problem if battery powered, mine is hardwired, and I don’t like the idea of rainwater touching exposed wires, so I’ve had to seal the gap.Secondly, the device frequently sends me alerts on my phone that it is low power, ever though it’s wired, which was annoying at first, but now I just ignore.

Easy setup
Great doorbell. Easy setup, good app to control it with.
Just My Thoughts –
Really pleased with this!
First impressions of this were good â I got it to replace our old video doorbell and it felt like a solid upgrade right out of the box. The setup was straightforward, and the quick-release battery is handy for charging without uninstalling the whole thing. The picture quality is sharp with the 2K resolution, so I can clearly see who’s at the door.I’ve been using the live video call feature a lot, and it works well with minimal delay. The dual power options meant I could choose what suited our setup best, which made installation easier than I expected. I also like that it records 24/7 when hardwired and stores footage without charging a monthly fee â that’s a big plus in my book. So far, the app is intuitive, and notifications come through reliably without too many false alarms.Overall, I thought it’s a great, reliable doorbell camera that does exactly what we needed. Good value for the features it offers.

Better than subscription cameras!!!
I’ve been after a decent doorbell camera for a while after I refused to pay expensive subscriptions anymore to a certain company whose name rhymes with Ling. I honestly think these Eufy doorbell cameras are the best in that regards. It has everything you need in the box, although I would have preferred a flat backing plate so that if I wish I could have installed the camera with sticky pads rather than screws.Installing the device is pretty easy, although this does depend on how good you are with a drill. It even comes with a little sticky you can apply to the surface youâre installing the camera to help you make sure you line it up straight and correctly. Unlike the aforementioned camera, this comes with an SD card slot (although it doesn’t come with an SD card, just bear that in mind) meaning there are no expensive monthly fees to upload your videos to the cloud.I personally find the app to be good, if not a little better than the aforementioned camera. I’ve only been using this for about a week so far, the battery life seems to be better, Although I suppose this would depend on the area where you live and how much pedestrian traffic you get come past. One of the best things about this doorbell camera is the fact that the battery is user replaceable. So when it starts dying as it gets older, you could just simply replace the battery.Honestly, I don’t know why more people wouldn’t opt for these cameras, they are far better value for money compared to ongoing subscription cameras.
