SCORP C Camera Gimbal FAQ
If you install cameras of different weights on the gimbal, please adjust the motor strength after leveling.
This is the power motor auto adjustment operation:
Put gimbal on the table, start the motor power tuning progress through motor auto tune button or APP, and wait for the progress complete.
*Note: Gimbal will vibrate slightly while Auto Tune to weigh the camera, it’s a normal phenomenon.
What should I do if gimbal issues like not centered, drifting and not being level occur?
1. Switch to none-All follow mode, tap the M button 5 times, when the Bluetooth indicator turns solid from flashing status, it means calibration completes.
2. Using the SCORP APP to adjust the horizontal angle manually.
Why does the gimbal keep vibrating?
1. Did not balanced those three axes properly, then turn the gimbal on.
2. After balanced properly, we did not tighten all the screws .
3. Balancing the camera with long & heavy lens, we did not install with the lens support.
4. The motor strength is too strong.
How do you know which axis motor needs adjustment? And how to adjust it?
Hold one of the axis motors in working status with your hand, if it stops vibration, that’s the right motor you should decrease motor strength.

First Class Piece of Kit
Great accessory at a great price. The company has several beginners tutorials on YouTube which are very worthwhile. I love it.

Such poor service and a bad experience
Had an issue with this gimbal from day 1. Really would not give me stable shooting of video – it was all over the place. Then there was a vibration each time the camera/gimbal moved. So overall it was worse than a normal tripod. So asked service support they told me to balance the camera DERRR? exactly what i was doing as per instructions!!!! then they just didn’t respond to my emails when I told them this was not working. Sent them videos of the problem – no response. Told them I would accept a refund or a replacement – no response. I am so lucky I bought through Amazon as the returns process and refund was smooth. So I don’t know if the product is oversold in its stability or I had a Friday afternoon unit. Whatever the service support is TERRIBLE. I will look at the more expensive option of gold standard DJI. BUT will want to see it in operation first – or order through Amazon

Take time to set it up…
It took several goes to get the process of setting up the mounting and balance right but it is important otherwise the motors and the battery is working harder to keep things set up.The help videos were OK but personally I work much better from clear images and instructions and the enclosed were not; (minus one star).Once the central balance is set, changing a lens should only require minimal adjustment of one axis, and the use of markers helps as you can take note of the balance point for each focal length. Internal zooming lenses that don’t extend the barrel will be easier to use in this respect.Movement seems well damped when walking around on fairly even ground and a stairway. I’ve yet to test it on uneven terrain or where the set up is being affected by wind. (One of my intended uses is outside filming on foreshore locations at low level). It set up with the phone app OK but this is of limited use to me as I’ve got enough to hold without trying to use a smartphone as well and it’s a recipe for something getting dropped. The only handling issue is the proximity of the holding control handle to the gimbal assembly itself. I did find my fingers brushing against the gimbal in some positions. Longer lenses, requiring the camera to be set back more, may be an issue here. Users with small hands may find one-handed support and operation of the gimbal controls a little awkward.

An amazing Piece Of Engineering Whose Function Exceeded All Of My Expectations
The FeiyuTech Official SCORP-C Camera Gimbal is supplied in a branded retail box within which you are presented with a piece of technical excellence in this precision instrument. In the box you will find the 3 axis gimbal stabilizer, a very nice (and immediately useful) tripod stand, camera backing base, quick release plate, lens holder, and an assortment of cables and fixing screws. I do love a piece of well engineered equipment and in this gimbal that is unmistakable, it is lightweight at just 1200g but the calibre of the materials is superb with aluminium being the dominant material along with some good high specification plastics and chrome where they are used. The controls for the joystick and buttons for the various functions all feel top notch, whilst the various locking screws, trigger and adjustment knobs are all knurled to give excellent grip. As always I charged the gimbal before using it for the first time, allowing me to do a little reading and also watch a few videos and download the app to use with it.The initial setup took me a little while as I first had to determine where all the various locking points were and then plug in the cables, set the camera in the position I wanted it to be used and then change that to see if it remained in place…following that turning on the gimbal to see if it was happy with that setup â I did have to tweak this before I had it all correct. I then used the cliders to show where it was set so that I could go back to these the next time I use the gimbal. The controls are what I would consider fairly standard, whilst there are are some that can be assigned via the app once downloaded and paired with the gimbal, it is a very useful app and will help you to understand and use the gimbal far quicker than trying to read the manuals etc â wish I had done that first! The app also allows remote control and a number of adjustment options to get the most from the gimbal. In use this is brilliant, it ensures that the camera can stay focussed on a target whilst maintaining stability and eliminating any camera shake. It is comfortable to use for a reasonably long duration, the controls are well placed, clearly marked and very responsive in use.Overall I am blown away by this piece of kit, the presentation, build quality, attention to detail, design, features and most importantly the stabilization is amazing and I would very strongly recommend this to anyone who is considering a gimbal to aid their media production. Top marks to FeiyuTech for the Scorp-C

Battery life
The gimbal itself was very good and you can use the app to operate it. It charges up very quick however, I was recording at some weddings recently and the battery life let me down so much. The product description says the battery should last “13 hours theoretically” but I found myself charging the gimbal a number of times after an hour / hour and half. Then It was so difficult, I had to connect a portable charger to it.It may be worthwhile if you are recording short videos, but not the best if recording for long periods. Due to the kind of shooting I need it for, it’s not right for me
CheckThisOut –
As a one-man shop handling everything, efficiency and smart tech are key. So, when it came to checking out the FeiyuTech Official SCORP 2 Kit, a 3-axis gimbal stabilizer, I was looking for something that could actually help me level up the photography/videography arm of my business without adding a ton of complexity.AI Tracking is a Major AdvantageThis is hands-down the most impactful feature. As a solo operator, having that built-in AI tracking module with gesture control (the “OK” gesture to start tracking is awesome!) is a huge win. No fiddling with apps mid-shot, no needing a second person. It just works, and that alone makes it incredibly useful for self-filming content. This is where it really shines for someone like me.Solid Value PropositionComing from a perspective of investing smartly, the SCORP 2 Kit feels like a strong contender against pricier options. You get a lot of featuresâgood stabilization, that AI tracking, and a decent buildâwithout breaking the bank. It feels like a solid return on investment for enhancing my video capabilities.Ergonomics and Quick SetupThe T-shaped handle for low shots and the overall design are pretty intuitive. It feels good in the hand, and the L-shaped quick-release plate is genuinely fast for switching between horizontal and vertical orientations, which is essential for varied content platforms. The built-in kickstand is a nice touch for quick breaks or setup.Smooth Footage, MostlyFor most of my mirrorless setups, it delivers really smooth, professional-looking footage. The stabilization itself is excellent, which is the core function of a gimbal, and it nails that.Payload & Balancing ConsiderationsThis is where you need to pay attention. While it’s rated for 5.51 lbs, my experience suggests it’s best suited for smaller mirrorless bodies and standard lenses. If you’ve got a larger body or a particularly long lens, you might run into clearance issues where the camera hits the gimbal arms, especially if you’re trying to do underslung shots or move through the full range of motion. Balancing it can also take a bit of patience, but this is all typical for gimbals.Overall, if you’re a solo creator looking for an affordable, feature-rich gimbal, especially if you value excellent AI tracking for self-shooting, the FeiyuTech SCORP 2 Kit is definitely worth a look. Just be mindful of your camera and lens combination if you’re on the heavier end of its stated capacity. As an exclusive contributor to a prominent stock media agency with 25 years of experience in freelance photography and videography, I offer informed and professional opinions of camera and video equipment.I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year. A 5-star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.

Good value for the price. What can I mount? The cage with my Nikon z 6 ii with prime lenses and 18-140 mm zoom lenses and a clip mic receiver. Forget about the field monitor as it won’t balance.
