Cat6 connection
Good qualityDoes the job

Easy to use
Workws perfectly to repair the damaged cat5 cable
Bryan Simcott –
fiddly
these are quite fiddly to use, you need a special tool to insert wire into the terminals ( you may be able to do it with something thin but not recommended)

Efficient and simple way of connecting network cables
When it comes to extending an existing network cable (for example CAT5e) you can either put an RJ45 connector on each end you want to join and use a plug-in coupler, which introduces multiple connection points into the cable run, or you can use one of these junction boxes. The great thing about these junction boxes is they join the cables with the minimum amount of connections.Wiring up is very straight forward, ideally you want to use an impact Krone tool for the quickest and most secure punch down. The top of the junction box shows the correct wire locations for both T568A and T568B standards, which is handy of you don’t known them by heart.Included with the two junction boxes are some cable ties to secure the cables once punched down, so there is less chance of them being pulled out, and you also get some sticky pads to secure the junction boxes onto a suitable surface. There are also some small screws supplied but there doesn’t appear to be anywhere on the junction boxes that you could use them.Overall, a simple and effective way of extending a network cable saving the effort of putting in a new cable run.

Works Well
Good quality inline junction boxes. They require a punch down tool to fit the cable cores but they have a handy guide on the outside to show the cable connection order for both T568A and T568B for those who are not network engineers. It doesn’t really matter which if those standards you use as long as they are both the same. It comes with zip ties to hold the cable secure , a sticky pad to hold it in place or some fixing screws but I can’t see how you would use the fixing screws as there doesn’t seem to be anywhere for them to go.

Secure Connection to Extend Ethernet
This is a good and secure way to extend an Ethernet cable. Itâs not always possible to run a new length of cable, which would be the preferred option, sometimes itâs simply impractical. You could of course simply crimp on a plug and use a coupler and an extension cable but there are times when a more permanent solution is required. This is where this type of Ethernet junction box comes in very handy. Iâve used a few of these, they can be fiddly to use and you will need a bit of patience and in my experience, a decent Krone tool. However, itâs relatively easy to get a very neat and secure connection â if youâve never done it before just take your time. Very conveniently the top of the coupler has the wiring code for both Ethernet A & B â doesnât matter which you choose just make sure you use the same on both sides of the connector. There is no shielding within the box which shouldnât present too much of an issue in general installations however in areas of high electromagnetic interference there is a possibility of degradation of signal so just be mindful where you place. These seem a well-made coupler with the ability to secure the cable via the supplied cable ties to the fixing points on the outside. A sticky patch is also supplied to hold the coupler firmly in place. An installation guide is also supplied which might be useful. Maybe a little on the expensive side but that is often the case when only buying a couple. A convenient way to extend Ethernet.
